The support in the middle is a fair point. But his defence in generally is fairly good. He is good at organising it and has good positional play. He isn't a big guy so isn't always going to be great one on one.
Heard that Moylan is very happy the forum has now found someone else to focus on .

Kennedy is a very good fullback. Sure he isn't Teddy or Papa but there is only a handfull of better fullbacks in the game.
While one of our most dangerous players he's really a middle of the road fullback. Here's a quick tier list - haven't ordered them inside each tier:

A tier

Turbo
Papenhauzen
Teddy

B tier

Ponga
Latrell

C tier

Walsh
Drinkwater
Gutherson
Brimson
Edwards
Kennedy

D tier

Laurie
Savage

E tier

Averillo
Ramsey
Niu

Yeah that's fair but the guys in tier A and B are all worth 7 figures, we're paying half of that for Will.

So he shouldn’t be expected to play as well because he’s not on as much?

Maybe we should pay him more so he plays better!

Note: the above is a joke question based on stupid response to me previously that Chad and SJ should be held to different standard otherwise they wouldn’t be paid different amount.
Ironically it kind of looks like paying Chad more has made him play better…

Maybe if we paid him more as he gets older he will progress through the tiers?

Edwards should be higher and brimson should be lower.

Laurie can have his own F tier

The only Teir C player I would take over Kennedy is maybe Edwards. Kennedy for about 5-600k is tremendously good value for a fullback

We held Chad back for too long on his modest Sharkies contract - Cowboys parked the dump truck full of cash at his door and now he's better than Thurston. Chad finally being paid inline with his abilities and getting the respect he deserves (the bloke is actually 2nd in the NRL for Try Assists FMD)

As for Will Kennedy, he is a good player and our best option at 1 - I love how safe he has been this year, fumbling the ball has become rare for him + he can be great in attack

My gripes are he appears to at times make decisions that help him avoid making a tackle - there was a soft looking effort against the Cows at some point and last week against the Storm he look to go for that intercept play again on the Papenhouzen non-try

he has made some good 1 on 1 tackles on opposition break aways so who knows maybe he just wants to go for the sexy play sometime or thinks its the best option but sometimes it does look suss. doesn't mind charging into the defense this season with the ball though so that's good

and for a player that makes alot of Line Break Assists he sure can hog the ball a bit when a pass is on (many sharkies guilty of this .:( )

But overall he's one of our key players and having a strong year for the most part

We could go for days on where this list is wrong @Jaz.

For starters, is there a difference between D and E? They seem like they belong together in the "could be good, could be ****, has potential, but not that good so far" list....which should have Walsh on it.

Oh, and recent evidence suggests that Pap is not a star player when his team is not making 15 line breaks per game.

Was just a quick list to illustrate my point that Kennedy is a middle of the road NRL fullback. Where would you place each player?

Papz was never 100% after returning from injury. Lotta injury-plagued fullbacks this year. Maybe Kennedy deserves points for durability?

WK ranks higher than Paps now, now that he is sidelined for the rest of the season.

Great list.

Do agree…….Kennedys defence is below average also support play below average. He does float around the back and make up the extra number in backline plays but really that seems to be his main strength.

How has Lachie Miller been playing of late?
