I doubt we will make the 8 now , we should have beaten the last 4 teams with ease. Even if we do make the 8 we will get pumped 1st week of finals

There are some teams coming home with momentum and confidence and we seem to be sliding. Even if we do scraqpe in, which I'd love to see, I can't see
us progressing with such predictable attacking options. We are struggling to score against the lowly ranked teams.

We need to win 3 of the final 5 games, the next 2 are absolutely crucial.

I did say if we lost last night that we wont make it so we'll see.

IMO we need to beat warrior,knights,storm and cowboys cause we have no chance against Souths .going on current form we will lose all 5 . but we bring back the form that had us as a top 4 side for 3/4 of the season then we are a good chance to win those 4 and really push Souths.which will have us on 33 possible 35 points which should put in the top 5

thought it might be interesting to list the games that each of the teams in serious contention for 7th and 8th spot have coming up, I didn't list the teams 1 point above us who feasibly could drop back:

sharks (25 points) have: warriors, knights, rabbitohs, storm, cowboys (we have a 3 point head start but will be lucky to get another one or two wins)

titans (22 points) have: rabbitohs, storm, eels, panthers, sea eagles (two games they should win easily)

knights (22 points) have: bulldogs, sharks, sea eagles, cowboys, rabbitohs (tough run but playing well)

tigers (22 points) have: eels, dragons, bulldogs, roosters, storm (two games should be easy and one is against dragons who are in same boat)

dragons (22 points) have: roosters, tigers, cowboys, warriors, eels (easiest run of contenders for 7th and 8th spot)

warriors (20 points) have: sharks, cowboys, panthers, dragons raiders (the best team on paper out of the contenders IMO but 2 points behind 8th)

interesting to note is 3 of our 5 last games are against teams we have beaten already this year.........However, on current form, we would not be able to beat any of them.

From whats been said, Graham may not be back next week, IMO thats as big a loss as gallen not being there. Wade is definately our best this year IMO. Maybe not early on, but around origin and beyond has taken the reigns.

Carney, Gibbs, Graham, Gallen all back next week? would be awesome, and really is our only shot at winning any games. We need full strength or we will not win again

Good effort Thresher, for what it's worth this is how i see it:

Sharks...2 wins = 29 pts
Titans...2 wins = 26 pts
Knights...1 win...= 24 pts
Tigers...2 wins = 26 pts
Dragons...3 wins = 28 pts
Warriors...3 wins = 26 pts

Probably way off the mark, but there's a bit of optimism in there also...

To be honest - I couldn't give a flying **** who we play when or where. If we think that's a issue - we can't win the comp. There's some science for you.

We either play well, or we don't.

Yeah we've had some of the worst refereeing decisions in the world, but most of those wouldn't have troubled a good side.

I don't have a whole lot of hope Gil, would rather come 8th and be knocked out 1st week of the finals than come 9th though.

Not that there's probably much sense in thinking this way I know

Don't take it to heart Thresher, he often does that...just a little cranky after last night, like all of us. He is right but, if we play to the ability shown at times this season, it doesn't matter who or where we play, we can beat them.
