I think we will still make it but rather than burst into the 8 we will limp in & more than likely just be making up the numbers, you never know, other teams may go flat, get key injuries etc, we need that to progress past game 1.

After the devastation of Saturday nite, I've just looked at the ladder and thanks to a late surge from Parra, we look alright. We're a win away from 4th, and 2 wins above 8th thanks to the draw, which is good for us because we were never going to get anywhere on for and against anyway. It's also interesting that the storm, who are 3rd, are not going well, we've beaten them this year, and we play them again. If we win 3 and one of them is against the storm, we can make the top four.
If we beat warriors/Storm/cowboys (these are the most winnable I reckon based on playing the cowboys at home and the teams we tend to do well against), I think we'll sneak into 4th. It all starts this weekend.

Fox sports has done some statistical analysis which suggets we will finish 9th behind Saints & Knights. Apparantly Flanno is not concerned...
If he gets us out of this nose dive it will be a job well done.
I guess I am tainted by past dissapointments but I just don't see as playing finals anymore. I can't see more than a win or 2 which is skating on thin ice. If we lose next weekend I reckon the Cronulla curse well and truly kicks in, heads go down, we panic, we give up.

Not true, people tell us we can't perform all the time yet just as often we proove them right.

Why would he be concerned what those muppets think? Stats...blah!! If we play up to our early season form, we'll make the 8. If we play like we have recently, we won't...and nor should we.

I know it's BS mate I wasn't taking it seriously, just posted as thought some users might find amusing or interesting and was definately on topic. Funny thing is i won't be shocked if from here we do finish up about 9th.

That's the thing I don't see us recaputring that type of form that brought us early season success. It's a different part of the year as well, teams are more desperate, pressure is mounting. Harder for us just to fall into a structure and rythm and come away with a win. It's a massive challenge but Flanno needs to chance is arm a bit here. Just hoping that getting players back will fix the problem will be folley.

I said the Penrith game was crucial, we lost, with our run home, I can't see us winning any of them, our only hope is if the Warriors have a bad day on Sunday cause there inconsistent, we might steal a win from the Cowboys in the last game, but they are on fire as well. Newcastle are back in form, can't see us winning up there, Souths are unbeatable at the moment, and its only a matter of time before the Storm start winning again.

Bull****. We are more than capable of winning. We had a severely under-strength team last week. We will progressively get players back over the next couple of weeks.
If we make the semis we could have a close to full strength side and anything is possible. There really is no point dwelling on the negatives. We are still in it just as much as any other team. Things in Rugby League can change quickly and dramatically.
