Morris knows all our juniors, seemed to be big on getting them ready for first grade. Knows our systems. Played 300 games himself. Masters in coaching, qualified PE teacher etc etc. Seems like a good guy, though that doesn't really matter.

Yes a fresh start might be good, but with the squad we have I'm reluctant to hit a reset button so to speak.

Also look at what Seibold did at Souths after taking over from McGuire. He was assistant coach and he really changed the way Souths played. No reason Morris won't "freshen" up the place.

I know i sound like a huge fanboi for Morris but just think it makes most sense to give him the gig this year and every opportunity going forward. Give him till Rd 10 or something. Performance based for 2020 ?

Bit out of left field, il bet many have privately thought it, but what about JEFF ROBSON, has what 2 years coaching under his belt now?, not far out of the modern game, knows and is popular with the players. Wouldn't cost a Bomb?!

I am sure Madge would have loved this job, he has shown a fondness for our club and I reckon would of taken unders to it.

Given that boat has sailed , it's Morris for mine.

I don't like dual coaches.

If any x sharks player is gonna make it big in the coaches box.. It's Ciraldo..! kimmorley would make a great assistant (if he was interested) as well.

now - john morris - knows the club, knows the players, was a bigt part of the pathway development, was involved in finding players like trindall and ferris as well as putting time into lume lume and xeri, worked with the braileys ect. he is also cheap, and there is about a $400k difference in salary of morris and flanno so that will help with the fines

2020 - depending on how we are going, if we look like top 4, then maybe a slight upgrade for morris, but my pick for an external coach is justin holbrook, followed by adam o'brien, jason demetriou and cameron ciraldo - long draw, stephen kearney

anyways, yes, he sucked at parra, but brad arthur is an apparent super coach and he sucks as well

kearney did ok with the warriors, we have a better roster than them and we have a few junior kiwis as well

we could do worse
