very well put Cap's, I don't see how some think he is that bad, he has kept others out of 1st grade all last year and we came equal 1st. It's like rejecting a hot girl because she has a strange belly button.
:silly::clown:'s

It is worth noting that Simmo played every first grade game last season, one of only 3 or 4 players to do so.

now that's the way to criticise a 1st grade sharks player. A diplomatic approach.

Well from the time he came into first grade as a local junior I have always had a lot of time for Simmo, as Wado and others have pointed out he was touted as the next big thing, but has failed to deliver on his early promise. That disappoints me, and I would like to seem him back to his attacking best out wide on the wing this year, rather than in the predominantly defensive role he played in the centres for all of last season.

Do you reckon some dislike the guy so much that they even hope he doesn't do good?

That'd be pretty messed up. Cheering the Sharkies up field on an attacking raid, getting pumped as the ball is spread wide and the numbers begin to stack on the edge, all of a sudden there is open space and Simmo gets the ball and the script is flipped; "DROP IT OR PASS IT YOU PRICK!"

Peaches ?:sarcastic:

:nodlaugh...no, id be hoping for a cut out pass, or he doesnt f*ck up...why the hell would i want him to drop it

he hasnt really kept anyone out of 1st grade because there hasnt been anyone to keep out

I don't have a problem with simmo but i think he should be wider to give him more room and then he wont have do that much defence , but here is two questions.
1 ; Which winger goes Misi or Covell if we move simmo to the wing ?
I would keep Covell very safe and leading piont scorer in the nrl last year.Misi still worries me when the high ball comes his way and he makes too many mistakes for me.
2;Who is going to replace him in the centres ?
Fraser, gone
Reece, i hope not
Filiga, he has a lot to prove before i would give him a run.
Mitch Brown ; ?
Bukuya ;?
Orcher ; ?
Stapleton ; ?
Who did i miss because that is all i can think off unless we put Green , Barrett or Buster there and i hope we don't get that many injuries.

Definately won't be Orcher, he's a fullback. My tip is it'll either be Brown or Simmons partnering Pomeroy in the centres. The other will partner Covell on the wing.

simmo was a reasonable fullback/winger until he did his shoulder. all downhill since then. spent a season unable to do upperbody strength work and became a pu$$y as a result. then tanked up to compensate and moved to an unfamiliar position but didnt man up. he hasnt lost speed, watch him run when theres no chance of him being tackled, he goes fine. still if hes the best weve got hes the best weve got. you dont have that forward pack without some negatives

how about this then, we try and sign greg eastwood, because he is a very good player, a kiwi and world cup winner, and when he first made grade for the broncos, he was a CENTRE! we could play him in the pack until our other guys come back, and then put him in the centres. problem solved. only thing is , i think he will cost more than crocker.

I believe he has gone to the Warriors, I think.

I would sign Crocker myself, and I would not be surprised if we do.

I thought he was close to best player on the field in a beaten side in the GF 2008.
