firstly AFL comes from Ireland, change a few rules and aspects of Gaelic Football and you have AFL..not hard to rip off one mans game and make it your own, hello slamball..the game itself was not invented here, just the stolen idea from the irish..
clearly it went over your head
Sadly mate, not a single one of your posts has ever had anything close to resembling a big enough intellectual challenge to get above waist height, let alone go over my head! Unfortunately for me, I can't help but identify your enormous leaps of conclusion that you try to rationalise as fact without any logical foundation or semblance of evidence.
The fact that AFL may share some commonality with Gaelic Football does not in any way deride the fact that AFL is uniquely Australian. For starters, it is actually named "Australian". Secondly, we are the only country that plays it professionally. Thirdly, it is the major football code in more states of Australia than any other. Finally, the rules and specifics of the game were written and developed here.
None of these things can even be remotely considered true of soccer. It has no indigenous Australian ingredient whatsoever. So, do you still want to try and argue that soccer is more Australian than AFL? If you wish to do so, please include some evidence and/or a logical arguement. Simply resorting to the precedent of "because I say so" doesn't hold water, unfortunately.
who settled in Australia besides the indigenous people..the English, where do you think most australians came from, the convicts..thank you Captain Cook and Co
did you skip year 3 History?
No, I didn't skip anything, that is why I cannot fail to identify that you must have performed very badly in English as your grammar and comprehension skills are sadly atrocious. Your original statement of "Most Australians come from England" is clearly geographically wrong. If people are Australian, then the probability is they come from Australia. Of course, if you meant "new Australians" meaning immigrants then once again, you are statistically wrong as in present day Australian society we have only a very small percentage of immigrants from England. Most of them these days come from Asia, the Sub-Continent or the Middle East.
Of course, I knew what you meant. You were referring to the fact that most Australians have their family heritage originating from Britain. That is not, however, what you said. You clearly said, "most Australians come from England". As I have clearly explained, that is grossly incorrect. For example, I am Australian, my wife is Australian, my kids are Australian as is my mum and dad, my sister, her husband and their kids and just about everyone else in my immediate and extended family. None of us come from England. We do, on the other hand, have a family tree that goes back to Britain about three generations ago. That does not mean we came from England. After all, how can I come from England if I have never been there? It is impossible.
So, whilst that may not be what you meant, it is, in fact,
what you said. And.That.Is.Why.You.Are.Wrong. Do you understand now?
So, as you can see, there is evidently nothing wrong with my education. There is, however, an element of doubt about yours!
If, in the future, you do not wish to be corrected on such obvious mistakes, I suggest you make more of an effort to set out your arguement correctly.
