To The Punisher’s point about concussion.………
I’m thinking if Wade wants a payday and to play in France (and lifestyle) then he probably should go sooner rather than later otherwise he may miss the boat altogether.
Maybe Wade needs to consider going earlier and leaving his partner here until citizenship is confirmed.
Hard call with leaving her and the kids behind I know and the time apart obviously depends on how much longer she needs but there is nothing stopping her from a few “European holidays” during that time.
The risk for him if he doesn’t go is that he might miss out altogether if he cops another head knock.
He does deserve a shot over there and a big payday/ superannuation payment and I’d be hoping he gets one (form a Super league team).
Given kid is still a baby basically I think*, and wife isn't from NSW, leaving them behind there for more than a few months probably isn't an option.
The ability to just go on 'holidays' to Europe is good in theory but once she has submitted her application for citizenship she can't go
anywhere as you need to be in the country when they make a decision. That can be a 6-18 month window you can't leave Australia.
Getting it finalised with a ceremony can be another year (although typically less), I think you can leave the country again between approval and ceremony.
Did hear of someone getting an online ceremony a week after approval recently but that is outrageously quick even given their unusual circumstances.
*second kid is 2, I was thinking they were born last year
