He obviously thinks that covering up for Todd was not in the interests of the club. ie. he does have the club's interests as a priority.

I get clubs giving players the flick for bad behaviour, but after 3 clubs as a serial stuff up I 'd like to think the NRL would come out and say nah your done in this code or atleast a 12-18 month suspension.. Lines up for storm or cows next year I'll be devo, so much talent such a waste... The NRL said it supported the Cronulla club's decision to terminate Carney's contract.

We sacked him, what's the NRL going to come out and say - "Save Todd Carney". They supported Canberra when they flicked Dugan - did they refuse to register Dugan's Dragons contract?? Lol I didn't think my comment was going to be so difficult to digest,

I was commenting that I would be pissed if after supporting us in sacking him they then would re register him to play for another club this season... The end.
