I'm not a fan of unity but don't think the club had any choice but to sack Carney,

The NRL would've degregistered him if we didn't sack him, even if we fined him heavily and suspended him for the rest of the season. Then we would have been left without him regardles and this way the club looks like they have taken strong quick action. The fact he has been sacked the day before 30 June means no other club could try and sign him.

No way known given his rap sheet the NRL will register him for at least 12 - 18 months, and he would need to have undergone significant counselling and rehab before being allowed to play again as he shown he never learns.

When Craig Bellamy goes to the NRL and says I can change Todd they will register his contract. Carney and Cronk 2015 Premiership winning halves.

You're probably right but Carney won't be earning $650k doing it.

$1,000,000 fiine with $400,000 suspended on condition the Club gets its governance issues sorted.

Think about it.

Todd's serial indiscretions gave him an expired used-by date in that situation. It doesn't matter who is running the joint - he had to go.

The problem exists when coaches and players are allowed to call the shots and not management.

When anyone laughs off disciplinary action or criticism with a smug "Well, if you don't like it then sack (or vote out) me!"

It's a cultural thing at the Sharks and until that is addressed, it will never be fixed.

Its the truth Fitz - stop looking outside for the problem its inside we need to stop worrying about the now and look to the future.

What club do we want to be and how do we want to get there?

Im fine with the carney sacking but what pisses me off is if they are going for the moral and values reasoning, then flanagan shouldn't have been re-signed

If thats true im not suprised! We just need a big board meeting & the board need to resign from the club immediately! This board is taking us is just taking the club in the wrong direction!

Finding a major sponsor they have done nothing about in recent weeks, now they sack our major player without giving him a chance to answer, im not defending him but as alot of you on here may agree I think he should have at least been given a chance to respond to this picture

Not defending the board but it would actually be a really destructive thing for them or Noyce to resign before seasons end. It would pretty much destroy the club as there is no one ready to jump in. The NRL would take over and we would be in Brisbane or Perth before you can say ****.

But come end of season if nothing improves what I would like to see is a whole lot of shire supporters start a big protest to the board(not the players) to tell them how unwanted they are ATM.

I'm actually glad the players have taken some sort of a stand. They are the club. Not the ****s running it. At the end of the day we support the team who takes the field, not the pricks who sit behind a desk all day and do nothing.

Gal is our leader and whatever decisions he makes i will stand by.

Remember the senior players backed this board - they are at fault as well for the mess we are in.
