Rudolph starts at lock then goes into the prop rotation after 20 or 30 when Billy comes on ..

Just a thought ...

Except with Williams and Boogs both very likely to be in our top 17 you now have one of your props starting at 13 and three locks on the bench.

In theory your idea is feasible but doesn't really make much sense to me given the players we have.

If Bukuya is back in favour and can regain prior form, he's a no brainer for #13 and would go a long way to making the team more balanced.

Biggest pre season I can remember for the Sharkies... That's one green pack brimming with interchange players.

Nah. We don’t need to lump all that pressure on him right from the start of his career when we’ve got a guy like Woods in the team. Look after the lad and ease him in. With Prior gone, I’d be starting Fifita and Woods with Uele and Rudolph off the bench.
Pretty sure that Nikora came straight in from Day 1 last year. Not saying that he was fantastic all season, but hey none of our forwards were

Different circumstances. We were virtually without another option. Wade was out. If Wade was fit round 1 I think Nikora would of started on the bench and Capewell would of switched sides. Eventually Nikora would of forced his way into the team in the season though. That’s what I think Rudolph can do. Just my opinion.

Please don’t misunderstand you lot, I’m not bagging Rudolph or Billy, I just think we don’t have to rush them straight into the run on side when we can make the transition into first grade a bit easier for them since we have guys who are experienced and can do the job in the starting side.

I’m cool with him starting from the bench

#1 Toby Rudolf
The prop forward has struggled with injuries early in his career, but has been a force to be reckoned with for Newtown in recent times.

In the Sharks system, Rudolf will have his work cut out for him - but he is only an injury or two away from a spot on the bench.

He was instrumental in the Bluebags' wins in both the Canterbury Cup Grand Final and Interstate Challenge against the Burleigh Bears.

Think he might even be closer than an injury or two away...

#17 Jaimin Jolliffe
Another member of the successful Newtown Jets side, Joliffe enjoyed a strong 2019 season with the Bluebags.

A quality front-rower and still only 22, he has plenty of experience in reserve grade and could easily make the jump next season.

He was named in the Canterbury Cup Team of the Year and will be pushing for a debut next year whether it be at Cronulla or elsewhere.
