Agreed. He feels more like a Royce Hunt style bench impact forward than a big minutes one though. If I'm the Warriors I'm all over him at that price to add some size when AFB leaves.

He’s not half as good as AFB. I reckon at that price it’s a steal for 3 years. Ceiling is higher than anyone in our current roster.

Comparing May to AFB is apples to oranges. AFB has 159 games. May has 25. To be as good as he is at just 25 games makes him worth $500k to someone for mine.

He played big minutes towards the end of last year and looked pretty decent to me, think his motor would be closer to bhu than Royce.

Burgo can probably give us a deeper analysis of his peak usage rate.

Yeah fair call, I must admit I haven't watched him that closely. If he has the motor then 500k could be a steal.

May played 17 games all off the bench and his time increased as the season progressed. Very serviceable minutes by end of year. Will compete with the likes of Spencer Lenui and possibly Whyte for minutes this year though.

Still 500k isn’t too bad a price. If we assume they need to ratchet up 18% that’s comparable to between 470k for Kaufusi and 650k for Rudolf

I’d probably like to see him start the season with some efforts like he ended last year to pay it still.
And we probably don’t wanna pay it until we know if we are signing AFB either. And probably from a depth perspective still hard to bring in another middle on good money without releasing someone.

Yeah not only can AFB play the power forward game - he can finesse his team mates over the line inside the 20 meter zone with a great short pass .

Kaufusi just needs to play with more intensity and aggression next season, otherwise move him on or swap deal for 2025. Would rather give a spot to someone thats hungrier. 2025 will be our real chance to be contenders

I tend to agree, I still see promise in him & he’s only young. I’m happy for him to be on our roster at his current rate with the chance he comes good.
