Apparently this is the first grand slam final since 2004 that hasn't had one of Federer, Rafa or Djokovic in it.

Wasn't she leading 5-1 in the 3rd set and still lost.
Hewitt has more chance of winning another tournament then her.

Yep it's the one time of year that I'm glued to ch7 watching the tennis.
1 year I would be stoked to go down to melbourne and watch the aus open.

Ch 9 are advertising this Fast4 Tennis. Apparently a set is only 4 games, tie breaks at 3-3.

It's supposed to be the tennis version of 20/20 cricket.

Thoughts anyone?

Sounds like rubbish, I'm not a fan of crap like this. Do people these days really have such short attention spans that we need stuff like this? Long form tennis = 5 sets. Short form tennis = 3 sets.

Yeah I know, I sound like an old fuddy duddy. Oh well.

Yeah noticed that is this a world wide thing or only done here in Australia
The players would be stoked getting probably paid more to play less tennis.

Agreed, absolute ****ing garbage. What's next, fast golf where the tournament is played over 2 par 3's or something.

Good game going on here in a all aussie affair, Tomic v Kokkinakis, Tomic just got the 1st set in a tie breaker, I said to my Mrs if Bernie gets in trouble in this match & loses the 1st set & is looking dodgy early in the 2nd set watch him manufacture a injury, we will never know now but I get the feeling with Kokkinakis & Kyriso coming along Bernie needs to step up his work ethic & game.

His ego wont like the young lions coming through & getting all of the attention. it would be great to all see them kicking on & getting into the top 10 I the world, imo, all of them have very good potential.

Been watching the 2015 Brisbane International & even went to day 3 on tuesday in the Pat rafter arena, I can just sense that Aussie tennis male & female is just at the start of a new era! A few Aussies are winning & sam Groth just showed good determination to get through a tough 3 set game against Lukas Kubot!

Read an article in the Telegraph aswell, a few female players under European heritage & countries this tournament, Ajla Tomljanovic who upset Jankovic in the first round & Dara Gavrilova are now successfully applying for Australian citizenship will be under Australia for the Aussie Open this year!
