Good win by Krygios, he showed some good mental strength to hang in there, I hope his coaching staff or parents have a word to him about how he waffles on court between points, I suppose he thinks it helps him move on to the next point but I cant help but think if you are the guy he is playing against would be motivated by him rambling on.

You would be thinking this guy is going to lose the plot at anytime, I just need to hang in there & play tough, as I said, I'm sure Krygios thinks its helping but I think it might be hurting him more than helping him.

He's only young so I'm sure that kind of stuff will sort itself out over time. It was interesting hearing Courier in commentary comparing him to Agassi at a young age, more from a temperament angle rather than style of play.

Good to see Sam Stosur win her first round match comfortably. I'd love to see her go deep into next week.

They say the clue to becoming a good standover man is to make people think that you're crazy.

Good match between Groth & Kokkinakis, as a fan you couldn't really lose as one of them was getting into the third round, I was probably wanting Groth to win a bit more as he is 27 & he doesn't have much time to make his mark as a pro where as Kokkinakis is only 18 & has a heap of time & potential to make his mark.

After the match in the post game interview on court you cant help but think Groth is a genuine good bloke, I'm happy for him.

That's kind of how I felt as well, BS. I love seeing an older player that hasn't had any success get a win in a slam.

On another note how good is the coverage this year? I'm loving it. Having the two channels is great as well.

It is mate, earlier on I kept flicking between the Krygios match & the all aussie affair as well as checking the BBL on channel 10 as well, hopefully Tomic gets up as the winner of that match plays Groth.

Tbh i don't care if Tomic loses, I just can't warm to the bloke at this stage of his career.

Kyrgios looked awesome again tonight. I have no doubt he's on his way to the top 5 and a grand slam title. Not this year but it will happen.

I have troubles liking the guy as well but not as much as my dislike for Hewitt, I want Tomic to win just like I was hoping Hewitt would win last night purely as a aussie but to be honest I wasn't going to lose sleep if the young Chinese fellow knocked him out.

Fair enough mate, you're more loyal than me. If you're a ********, you're a ********, I don't care which country you're from.

Rafa in big trouble, clearly not fit. Hope he gets through, love Rafa.

Federer goooooone. When was the last time he didn't reach the fourth round in a slam?

Krygios looks the class, another straight sets win tonight in the 3rd round! Tomic beat Groth in straight sets, pretty surprised about that! We now have 2 Aussies through to the quarters!
Aussie tennis is certainly on the way up again! This new girl Tomjlanovic even though she has lost now has showed me she certainly has some class about her if she can get some consistency about her!

I get the feeling Kyrgios thinks he just had to turn up against Seppi to get through, maybe I am reading his body language wrong but this looks like a case of complacency.

It looked as though his back injury was plaguing him at times, i don't think he was complacent. Confident? Yes, but that's just him.

It will be interested to watch how he progresses over the years. When he was struggling with his back last night I was wishing he'd just grit his teeth and try and get through like Rafa would do. But on the other hand maybe that's just his way of getting through it, he's obviously a bit different to most players.

Murray in the quarters will be very tough.

I really want Kyrgios to maximise his potential, he has all the tools & the sky is the limit, I hope you are right HB & its a case of him working through his maturity, I just think mentally at this point in his career he needs to up the ante, one of the commentators said last night something about Monfils & Kyrgios as sort of a comparison & being a showman.

Monfils to me is one of the biggest disappointments, yes he is the showman but he is the biggest talent waster going around, fellow players would be dreading he finds the right mix between showman & maximising talent, sadly, imo I think he will finish his career & never change. He may jag a single slam but thats if the stars align for him & he knuckles down for two weeks straight & plays the necessary 7 or 8 games need to win a slam.

I know Kyrgios is only 19 & for that age he is flying but I am concerned that his mental game will prevent him from kicking on, fingers crossed for him v Murray, he needs to play much better than he has shown which I think he will, I actually think he will be come out ready to play where as against Seppi I wasn't convinced of his mindset & whether he was ready to go at the start.

If he plays like he did against Seppi the scoreline will read 3 sets to zip & the sets wont even be close, if his head is right he can push Murray & possibly jag a upset.

Looking forward to tonight's game. I have a feeling Murray might teach him a lesson, hope I'm wrong.

Agree, I get the feeling Kyrgios will be up for this so it wont be over confidence, he'll need to be at his best cause it will be a case of Murray making him work for every point once they get in a rally (Murray is as good as anyone on tour at running a ball down).

If Kyrgios plays like he has it will be atleast one break per set & it will be all over in straight sets.

I always thought of Murray as being really tall, which I guess he is.

Was surprised to see Kyrgios looking the same height or taller when standing next to him. He'll possibly keep growing for a few years too.
