Slide, took this from the Carney thread. Are you talking about sports podcasts? If so, what do you listen to?
Haven't really listened to any sports ones. The only thing I'd really be interested in is rugby league.I think there are some footy ones on iTunes, but I haven't tried any.I'd also love some feedback if anyone has any suggestions.

Does the nrl live app keep crashing for you ? I had it for the last couple of years but it kept crashing this season so I uninstalled it.

Not really. It was fine for me last year, I only used it a few times this year after their crappy upgrade. I've been using League Live for a few weeks now, much better.

It's hard finding anything on League with a bit of substance I find.

There is a podcast called "The Full 80". Has anyone listened to it? I might give it a go.

Let me know what it's like, Slide.

Well, I listened to this podcast yesterday and I have say that it was pretty good.

It was just a couple of guys (fans) talking about the footy, covering most of the big issues. You're probably not going to get any big scoops or anything from it, but I found it enjoyable to listen to. They also did a section on supercoach for those that play.

Both hosts seemed pretty reasonble. I find that podcast hosts can sometimes become irritating after a while, but my first impressions of these guys were good.

It was far more enjoable than listening to a media hack like TK, that's for sure.

The good thing about the podcast format is that the conversation can move into some kind of depth, unlike commercial radio where they are just talking for a minute between news and adds.

I will listen again next week.

Why would I do that when I can watch it in HD on Ch. 9? Oh wait a sec...

Ch 9 NRL games are in HD down here in Melbourne! Nothing like watching your team get hammered in stunning high definition.

Bloody Rupert! Finally reeled me in with a deal too good to refuse. 6 month contract, no installation or equipment charges, IQHD so all sports channels in HD. $50 per month and can cancel it as soon as the footy finishes.

And shut up 2010!!

Sunday was my first time at Allianz this year. I must say the new replay screens are bloody amazing! Made the match day experience so much better.

It's a great stadium hey. Shame the Roosters play there. I see they're bringing in a set up where you can pre-order your food and drink, wait 10 mins then pick it up. Something the Sharks should definitely look at to keep those lines down.

Pre-order a tray of beers, pick it up and show your barcode or receipt number. All prepaid nice and easy.
Same with food.

Why does channel 9 show their games in SD but Foxtel shows the channel 9 replays in HD? Does it purely come down to money as to why 9 won't show them in HD? How does HD work?
