Same size as Slater
Slightly taller (probably the hair do) but Slater listed as 9kg heavier.

Size wasn't so much my point. I just really think you pick either him or Teddy. Simple Jack is their best 14 in my opinion. But I was happy with last night's result so the blues can keep it up as far as I'm concerned.

Probably most of the time in NRL yeah

Whoever was in the bunker just could not bring themselves to say there was "just a touch which constitutes a high tackle".

And quite a few people reckon the Crichton tackle was a sin bin... not even in NRL should that be a sin bin, barely went past horizontal (enough for penalty yes) and nowhere near landing on his head.
Chrichton one - penalty sufficient imo, but who knows in a random week of NRL.

what do you do with him? He's a fullback or nothing. ****ing small one at that for origin.

Hey Cap ,
As someone said , perhaps last 15 minutes impact .
If a winger got injured , he might be able to do the job and go hunting for opportunities too ( Turbo like ).
If a Centre went down , perhaps shift him to fullback and let Teddy play centre .
Who knows , maybe even handle 5/8 in an emergency ( Fitler below )

Fittler highlighted the great success Melbourne had had in transforming fullbacks into top-line players.

"If you look at all the good players down at Melbourne - they all come through at fullback: Jahrome Hughes, Cameron Munster," Fittler said on Wide World of Sports' Freddy and The Eighth.

"They know how to train a fullback up, and they've got Billy Slater down there (as a consultant)."

I assume we're talking about Pap here? If so, I agree with Cap, he's not a bench player at SOO level.

So is Ponga, and wasn't he thrown in middle a few years back with some success?

NSW over the last few years have succeeded through speed around the ruck with Teddy and Turbo backing up through the middle. I know he's smaller, but I don't see any reason why Paps can't do the same. Esspecially given we needed some x factor desperately. Can't think of anyone else who could have played that role as well as he could.

I reckon Ponga is a bit bigger than Paps and can cover a few more positions.

We do need some x factor though.

Maybe slightly, but with Wighton in the side do we need to cover that many extra positions. Pap could play wing and push a winger in, or a second rower could cover centre.

Both Teddy and Wighton made linebreaks in that last 10 minutes. If Paps was on, with his support play and speed I think we convert at least one if not both of them.

I reckon Paps on a wing marking Coates /Cobbo would be an absolute bloodbath.

Sure, it's not ideal, you could also move a 2nd rower out like I said.

I don't think you pick a utility to cover injury though. You pick one to turn a game and if they cover injuries that's a bonus.

If Jayden Campbell stays injury free for a few seasons I could see him end up playing a role like this
