On another note - Jayden Campbell is the one we should be having a crack at for 2026 imo. He’s decent in the halves but it’s evident his best spot is out the back. Gives us the X factor our squad needs, great support player through the middle, good kicking and passing game. Would be a huge asset to this squad and allows less pressure on our halves to try create all our points.
Great in attack but if people aren't happy with Will's defence.....

People only remember the highlights of guys like that, while focusing on the deficiencies of their own players.

Campbell won't come here for cheaper than Will. I rate him but not sure he improves us enough to warrant extra spending.

Yep. Would have to be a big upgrade for mine and I'm not really a Will fan. Patience required for Ison to come through.

I completely agree RCG > Williams/Hunt.

But that's not the point. We've released those guys to save money to keep those in our squad. Both Royce and Jack were getting higher offers elsewhere and we couldn't match them moving forward.

If we sign RCG, it will cost us someone else, and it won't be BHU. In my opinion, leading into November 1 we should be working hard on retaining the core group we want to keep who are off contract next year. After we do this, let's see how much money is left and what middles/other players we can go after. I'd hate to lose Tricky/Nikora/Kaufusi because we signed RCG and couldn't find the extra cash for them.

This I could get behind. There's one too many fullbacks up there and you've gotta think that someone gets squeezed out. Playing Brimson at centre long term on big money just can't be the answer and you'd be a fool to let Kini go.
Brimson is the centres is just stupid. The young fella De Groot who is coming up looks like a good player also.

Somethings gotta give there. Kini or Campbell for me are realistic targets who we should consider at the very least. I'd love Papz here but he's going to be asking close to a mil. Kini or Campebll we could get for likely under 650k which is worth it imo.

Kini looks like he can develop into the more complete fullback, they'll keep him IMO. They've got that Union convert coming into the halves too. They wouldn't be beyond looking to move someone on for a decent forward given their chase of RCG you'd think.

Yeah forgot about him. Man they are stacked in the fullback, centre & 5/8 spots.
They need middles bad. If i'm them i would be looking at signing RCG and also consider a player swap with a club for another big body in the middle.

Max Feagai signs with the finns for 2 years.
Flanno has done well not to re sign him. He's average at best.

It's been ruled that way all year so I don't know why they were complaining.

Actually I do know- that's because the refs chose to put their whistles away for many other discretions in the finals (well at least Klein did)

Staying down injured, flops, inside 10 etc. It actually made for a better game. Just wish they would admit it and change behaviours next year.
The best way to get the GF reffing gig is to stop refereeing in the prelims

Lot of people forgetting about him but he's really had the one injury - ACL as he turned 21 last year and complications from it and follow up surgery after a bit back this year

AutoCart involves smoothing out & shaving away cartilage, collecting the pieces & mixing them with plasma to create a putty of sorts. This is then applied to fill in the cartilage defect/tear.

There's no particular reason he shouldn't return at 100%

Ison is still young and Dykes' development has been delayed, i dont see them taking the fullback jersey off Kennedy or even pressuring him if he stays fit majoriy of next year. Both have only played 1 game in top grade, if Kennedy plays majority of next season, theyll re-sign him for another 2yrs, unless his form dramatically drops

Titans are favorites for RCG.
He has stated he is now willing to move anywhere to continue his NRL career which must mean all Sydney clubs have declined or simply can't afford him. There's also a rumour going around that the Dolphins are considering making a play for him also as they are seriously concerned that Flegler will potentially be forced into NRL retirement next season.

D.Saifiti and RCG in the pack would go good, replacements for Wallace and J.Bromwich

I’m not so sure they’ll re-sign Kennedy as they would have lured Ison over with a development plan to first grade imo and yes he’s still young but he’s not going to wait 3 years

They need to not rush into any Kennedy decisions, I’m also not sure how many clubs are going to go after him?
