If we're going to keep paying him the club might want him to stick around to mentor Trindall but if he wants to go back to Syd/NZ to rehab then we shouldn't be paying him.

Frankly I'm kinda glad the whole SJ experiment is over. Completely under delivered in his 3 years imo.

Got the full highs and lows of SJ with his performance for a decent chunk of last year being very good (plus some of the end of the year before), and a sprinkling of nothing games and injuries for a lot of the rest of the contract.

Just another one of the big contracts Flanno gave out that didn't quite pan out as well as we'd hoped.

Kind of hard to pan out if he’s not at the club to drive his own plan. Flanagans best attribute was getting players to play in the best form of their career

His worst attribute was being terrible at following rules, whether intentional or just incompetence.

I don't think there is any slack for SJ given Flanno wasn't there, especially as he really liked Bomber.

And that’s also the clubs worst attribute, club should’ve had better management that weren’t ok with cheating the cap and it wouldn’t of happened in the first place.

Flanno and Morris are in different leagues, shouldn’t be compared

Cheating the cap and the other stuff he did, but yes, the club was also involved.

Flanno and Morris can't be compared because one did coach SJ and one did not coach SJ.
Actually Flanno hurt SJs chances of succeeding by also getting our cap reduced to provide less support around him. So you're right, as far as coaching SJ goes they are in different leagues.

Purely hypothetical to assume SJ would have been any better under Flanno.

In this Shaun Johnson thread we are talking about SJ, I mentioned Flanno in passing you don't need to leap to his defence or try and create a career comparison between the coach who did coach SJ and the one who did not because he was banned from coaching.

To be fair he was somewhat carrying us for a lot of last year before that injury. I just cant help but wonder if everyone would still feel the same if he didn’t get the season ending injury last year, instead finish the year strong like what he was heading to before the injury and took that momentum into this season.

Ah well.
