meanwhile back to SJ,

he better step up for this game. hope he does.
would be sad to think he has switched off

We really need him to, hopefully a rocket was put up him. If he fails to push today, honestly he can sit out for the rest of the year.

if he has been spoken to by the coach then today is going to say alot about where SJ is - he really needs to step up and be our best player on the field . I expect a fairly typical mixed bag but hope I am surprised

harder to be excited about a win though after dropping winnable games as our path from here to the top 8 finals is just scraping in and crap defense leading to a first round exit. oh well better than nothing I spose and there is plenty to look forward to in 2022

Hannay probably knows what a rocket is, but I'm not so sure he knows how to light the fuse.

That's why we didn't offer him more.

cause our team looked noticeable worse with him on the sidelines ? or cause he pulled the hammy?

say what you will about his form, attitude, fitness ect we are not the same in attack without him. less shape , less space , less ideas
also seems to show more leadership and passion than Woods who I do not like as a Captain

Nailed it Gards, but you can see why we didnt offer him

yes, tbh I am over him and this whole JMO/Hannay sharks era in general and looking forward to moving on with new faces and attitudes from next season but in the mean time he might be our only chance to stay in the 8. our other halves options I can't see cutting it

but we did hold onto another flakey injury prone player in Matt Moylan. Guess the difference he was willing to take a big pay cut and may not been stirring the apple cart as much as SJ allegedly has / might just be an easier bloke to manage. Moylans form has been reasonably decent and consistent prior to injury as well in 2021 and has a bit more utility value than SJ. basically less risk. Will be interested to see how Fitz uses him

We will be better off without him next year as long as we have a half who can step up with a decent kicking game... This year our top 8 chances could be on the slide if he's played his last game for us

And this is exactly why we should not have been deathriding him. We chose not to offer a contract, he got a deal elsewhere. Not Could be on the slide, WILL be.If he misses more than 2 games, I'm predicting we will NOT make the 8.Support the guy in his last 2 mths approx with us. Plain to see how we going to go with him out. Look at first and second half.

Wouldn't make any difference if he played next game, or not.

Manly could trot out the Dee Why Under 12s and still flog us.

apparently out for 2 weeks

I hope that’s right, last time he did his hammy the Sharks played it down in terms of how long it’d be, ended being way longer, much like Moylan & the Broncos game, supposedly they thought he would have been ok, pulls out in the warm up, has since missed another 3 games plus the Broncos game, the medicos @ the Sharks must be throwing darts @ the dart board for answers on how long players are out.

Hamstring injuries are very hard to predict right with time frames. Any sign of tightness before a game and they risk retearing and making things much worse.

They also can go weeks being in an awkward phase of running at 3/4 pace but not being able to increase speed. They are a frustrating injury. It is what it is.

Really won't be surprised if they release him or let him recover outside the bubble and go back to Sydney. Recovering for 2 weeks in Sydney with the rehab squad and if looking like he might be closer to that 4 week recovery he can isolate and come re join the bubble.

Might also go the RTS route and just call it.
