Need to scrap this MBR+ crap.

Just go back to basics, card, keyring, hat and whatever (stubby holder, soft Esky, rape whistle)
I like it still. Just give people a choice when they renew whether they want to use it or get the default. If they opt in to use it, don’t have a deadline on ordering.

Just got my email about parking on game days. Great I thought!

Then I saw what they were charging. You can book a season car park in the new development but it will cost $250 for a season pass and you can only use it on game days - 3 hours before the game starts and 1 hour afterwards. That is $25 per game.

I think I am better off parking where I normally park and getting some exercise in the 15 min walk to the stadium. Others will pay it I am sure but I think I'll wait for the 2025 season renewals to see if it is included in packages.

The one hour afterwards thing is pretty ****, especially if you want to stick around and grab a feed or go to the club once it reopens.

Regarding the cost, yeah I dunno. I mean you're paying something like that if you park at Accor so I'm OK with that tbh.

How are they going to stop people just using the shopping parking? Or will the whole carpark be shut down for gameday parking?

The one hour doesn't bother me as I normally go straight home anyway, I was never a big Leagues club person. I'd more go there before the game for a feed if at the right time.

In regards to the cost, I thought it was a bit steep but my wife, who looks after our finances, says it's actually pretty good and to go for it. So looks like we'll be getting one.

But I have sent the Membership team an email about something that is still a bit unclear. On the FAQ sheet that comes with the email it says the following:

How will parking spaces be allocated?
Spaces are allocated on a first come first serve basis, with the lower levels filled first, working upwards.

Now does that mean my space is allocated when I go online and book and I get the same reserved space each game day, or do I have to try my luck on each individual game day to grab the first space I find? And what happens if I get there 30 minutes before game time and there are no spaces left? Do I get a refund or have I wasted my $25 for the day?

I don't know, maybe it's clear to others but it seems a bit vague to me.

Thanks @SF ! I have taken the plunge and booked a season pass. It is all pretty clear now and it looks like there'll be plenty of spaces. It may prove more popular as the season goes on though, so I still think getting there a bit early is a wise move.

I suppose at least all the money is (hopefully) going straight back to the Sharks - not a 3rd party parking contractor.

Yeah at first I thought the one hour panic to get out at the end will be pretty crazy.

Ideally I think that should be two hours to spread out the rush. Or even better, overnight, so we can leave our cars there when needed.

But it seems worthwhile for certain games, and hopefully having the attendants there will sort out a lot of the issues.

I think then you'd have to pay the full parking costs, which I think go up to $50 overnight.
Also sounds like it is probably drink driving unless you are pushing the thing (assuming drinking as the most likely cause of leaving overnight)
