Copying over from the Nicho Hynes thread. Interesting discussion on who with our current squad is eligible. Is there anyone that I have missed?

On a different note, from the current squad, Nicho is the only one who currently meets the HOF criteria I believe. When he wins a comp for us this year he'll be 5/5.

✅Demonstrated exceptional performance on and off the field
✅Been an international Test representative. (Including Rugby League World Cup matches)
✅Played State of Origin
❌Played 100 first-grade games for the Cronulla Sharks or won a premiership with the Club.
✅Received a Dally M Medal, NRL-recognised award (e.g. Dally M positional award, Provan Summons Medal, Rothmans Medal, Ken Stephen Medal) or a Porter-Gallen Medal/Sharks Player of the Year award.
Ronnie meets 4/5 HOF.
✅Demonstrated exceptional performance on and off the field
✅Been an international Test representative for NZ
❌Played State of Origin (was a bee's hoohah away)
✅Played 100 first-grade games for the Cronulla Sharks
✅Received a Ken Stephen Medal in 2021

Talakai meets 4/5 HOF
✅Demonstrated exceptional performance on and off the field
✅Been an international Test representative for Tonga
✅Played State of Origin for NSW
✅Played 100 first-grade games for the Cronulla Sharks (will have in two games this season)
❌Received a Dally M Medal, NRL-recognised award (e.g. Dally M positional award, Provan Summons Medal, Rothmans Medal, Ken Stephen Medal) or a Porter-Gallen Medal/Sharks Player of the Year award.

Brailey meets 3/5 but is probably closest as he could get a SOO call up if Robson has a **** year
✅Demonstrated exceptional performance on and off the field
❌Been an international Test representative
❌Played State of Origin
✅Played 100 first-grade games for the Cronulla Sharks
✅2x Porter-Gallen Medal/Sharks Player of the Year

AFB just needs to play 100 games for us (if we deem him to have demonstrated exceptional performance on and off the field),
Nikora, Katoa & BHU needs to win Daly M Postional awards or a Porter-Gallen Medal and he will be eligible.

Sorry maybe I should post this in the HOF thread.

Brailey could have a cracking career (very much on pace already) and never play SOO or International
Should get consideration for ticking the other boxes multiple times each (if he does keep progressing along)

Needs to meet 4 of the 5 criteria.

It includes World Cup matches so he will probably qualify for the USA after playing in Vegas in a months time!

Yeah it's sort of hard when two of them are reliant on selectors who have always been biased against our club.

Like Peachey, he played 1 NSW game (2000) and 1 game for Australia in 1997 (Super League).

If he hadn't scraped in to those, it would have been a travesty for him to miss the Hall of Fame.

Peachey only playing in 1 Origin game was an absolute travesty imho.

I fail to see how Robbie Ross (1999) and Mark Hughes (2001) were better than the Peach was.

In Hughes' case he was a ****ing centre for Newcastle (Robbie O'Davis was still the Knights fullback in that period).

Wonder what the 5 benchmarks are for the Sharks Hall of Shame and which plays hit at least 4 of them

What would the 5 benchmarks be for a Sharks Forever Hall of Fame?

Not sure where you draw the cut off
And not sure what the other two would be?
Dick jokes might have to be one...

You need to get those reaction scores up Cap - I got you!

Not sure about reaction scores as they’re only a pretty recent addition.

We used to have the different shark types based on reactions (rather than just a count) didn't we - not sure if that translated across @SF ?
It's currently based on Total Posts. That could be changed to Reaction Scores, but it would take away from old users.

Ah okay, so reactions are just brand new since the switch then?
I wouldn't say to change it.

I hadn't even properly clocked these names still show up anywhere but can see it now I have actually tried to look
