I guess my main point would be that instead of for example paying big money for guys like Hopa, we should be trying to get the next Hopa before he comes of age. Like what we did with Gards. I think that's our best strategy. And of course putting faith in our juniors which are looking good.

Do not believe these two are "Quality Individuals" that will get us a premiership, no matter how much we payem!

they may not be quality indivduals (well SBW anyway, dont know much about quade TBH apart from breaking into someones home?? was that him? )

but bugger me, they would be very marketable for the sharks. they would attract players, new fans, old fans back....their money (what we pay them) would make the club alot of money.

but, i dont think it will happen...

In your head, rent free
and thats what sucks about our club....

i bet if the bulldogs, broncos, souffs, or roosters wanted them, they would get them.

the only williams and cooper we would get would be david and dustin, and its pathetic.

we should have about 2 mil worth of cap space, more if we cut the dead wood, why not have a read hot crack at these guys, find a sponsor to pay the dogs compensation, and bring our youngins up to play around these guys?

yet, the other clubs, with all there stars, and star power, would fit them in, and have no cap issue....

He's not even in the same class as Benji ok. Benji is an amazing player with skills that most rugby league players could only dream of. Benji is the closest thing we have seen to Andrew Johns in terms of his ability to win games single handily when he is on fire.

But in saying that. If we had to get Cooper to snag $BW i would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy. $BW would be one of the best things to happen to this club. God damn i want him in our team now!

I don't know, from what I have seen he is just as good and maybe better he has a better step and looks quicker not sure of his ball skills but his running game is just as good.

I'd compare Quade to 2009 Benji. Quade just needs 1-2 more years to fully develop his game like Benji did and reaped the benefits in 2010. So if we sign Quade for 2013 onwards we would have him at his best.

He has a better long kicking game than Benji and is on par with Benji as far as the broken play brilliance goes.

Cooper has repeatedly said he wanted to 'test' himself in the NRL... what better test then at Cronulla??

firstly, if u think quade isnt that good then u obviously havnt seen him play. he is a freak an amazing talent, would be the only union player to cross codes and completely dominate the nrl as a 5/8.

secondly, SBW would be an amazing asset to any backline, and again would dominate any other centre in the game.

thirdly they wouldnt be available until 2013, and it would take quade especially a season or 2 to adjust.

and finally they aint comin here so get over it

Not going anywhere near SBW. Probably leave after half a year if we are near the bottom, the guy has no loyalty, does not deserve to wear our jersey. Would be interested in Quade though, but lets be realistic.......we are no chance.

its a well known fact that we have to pay players more to come here......

and its supporters like us that keep the sharks in the comp , he was just being realistic. i dont think its the fans, i think its adminstration we need a ceo that is ruthless with the media in times like 09,10 some 1 who is proud to hold that position (have you ever tried to work for some1 that doesent like his job ,its hard to stay interested) and articles like this 1 that breeds a loosing mentality

Tackle 4: The sorrow of the Sharks

The refusal of the Cronulla Sharks to hire a chief executive is set to cost the club Test prop Kade Snowden, with the bookend likely to sign with Newcastle. Snowden’s move means the Sharks will have lost two of their best three players after Luke Douglas signed with the Gold Coast. The move of Douglas and Wayne Bennett’s refusal to pay props over $300,000 per season had Cronulla back in the frame for Snowden but the Sharks could not get a deal done and much of it stems back to the fact the club, quite unbelievably, has no chief executive. Snowden’s move is set to cripple the Sharks. The team has little quality with their starting props seen as one of the club’s few strengths. That is now lost, leaving Paul Gallen to fight a losing battle almost on his own. With players loathe to sign with Cronulla, the Sharks look set to flounder in the cellar for many years to come.

If Cooper wanted to test himself in the NRL he wouldnt have to join the Sharks, he'd just have to support them, cause it tests the crap outa me!
