LOL

And the ones we have at the club at the moment are so much better...

Snowden is just as Money hungry as Quade & $BW. Douglas is ditching out on us, Mannah may well be as well. I am sure if any of our older guys could get a run anywhere else they would have also. Smith and best are here because they are towards the end.

That makes no sense. Are you in favour of those blokes chasing bucks and 'ditching' us? If not, then I can't understand why you'd want the same sort of people replacing them (assuming all these blokes are money hungry).

Anyway, I never said anything about whether I agreed or disagreed with showing interest in these 2. I just told people not to get their hopes up of us getting them, and used a comparison between Union and League salaries as one reason why I highly doubt it happening.

No doubts their abilities would greatly improve any side - League or Union. I'd love it to be our side, and obviously money would play a big factor in where they played if they crossed over. We've gotta pay over to attract so-so NRL players, the amount we'd have to pay to get one of these names would be staggering. They'd both be on more than the highest paid NRL player in Union and I don't see them taking a pay cut for the opportunity to play for the Sharks, or any other League side.

Ha. We would never sign these blokes.

Could be good interference though.

And I would happily have Corey Paterson here.

One minute, everyone bags the club for not chasing/showing interest in quality players, now that they do, it's all negative talk around here...

But seriously i don't think we would have much hope. But good on the club if they are really having a go.

The owner of Toulon would probably fork out upwards of $1.5m each for these two. That's why I don't think we can compete.

I genuinely think the approach had more to do with Paterson and just testing the water with the other two.

By the way- smart move (finally) by the Club in getting Nasser on side if at all possible. Every other sporting administrator in the world hates him, so we might just end up being the last ones standing!

Didn't Flano say before start of the season that if players dont perform they wont be offered a contract so in otherwords we have a open book and $$$ as well so any manager that has a player going off contract will come and have a chat they would be stupid if they didnt.

So yep we will be linked to every off contract player over the next two years no big deal its going to happen we may even get some lol.

I have an understanding that Tax and Super laws have been changed closing some of the loop holes players were using and it may have something to do with it.

we'll probably end up with Paterson as part of the compensation for Snowden anyway!!

Bring on Cooper and SBW though!
we play SBW in the centres and tell Gards to hang off him all day for the offload!!!

I have more chance of banging katy perry and winning the lotto in the same day, than the Sharks signing SBW and Quade Cooper.

Bangin' her in the centre of Shark Park would bring the crowds & you can pay off the club debt with your lotto winnings, so it's a win-win in my book

Yet with all my lotto winnings put into the club so we are debt free, we'd still be labelled 'broke', 'in crisis', 'sinking ship'.

Maybe so, but with what you would be sinking into Katy, it would be worth it for you

are we serious these 2 clowns, has quade ever played league sbw is a joke, the minute the sook is unhappy he will walk he is no better than the lowlife fergogrub
i know it was in the paper but gees some peeps seem desperate to sign guys that would be extremley over payed players 2 people we dont need

A majority of players in years gone past have played both codes.

Former Canterbury player Jonathan Davies was a Welsh rugby legend and I am sure we all remember former Great Britain legend, Martin Offiah played both codes as well.

I am sure we all remember former Springboks captain Tiaan Strauss played here as well.

Fly half, if he came to the Sharks he would play halfback.

I'd be happy with that.

Albert Kelly needs a cool head next to him and might give Wade Graham some experiencing playing behind Cooper.
