well I just wish we had a strike centre so that it wouldn't matter how much strike our wingers had :)

Always matters how much strike your wingers have. I suppose I wish for a strike winger as they are slighty more available. I would be happy either way but I would be way too excited if we got both.

I think Hotdog showed what he's got in finishing in the last few games .. my only issue with him is that he doesn't get involved enough - easily the best finisher in the top grade .. I've previously stated that it's hard for him to get ball when the centres don't pass. If Mills gets his defensive game up a few gears I'd have him and Best in the centres with Stapo or Wright the other wing - not to fussed.

backline schuffle

i want to see "kelly" given a chance in the centres, he's played there in junior rep sides, and i can see it in him.............we need to trial pomeroy as a winger. tall, fast, and a good straight runner, as well as a good defender, and as a bonus he only has to catch the ball and not pass it (generaly). it is usually only when you think outside of the accepted positional standards, and look deeper,is when coach's come up with masterstrokes...........you think abouy it.....

It has been suggested before but I'm not a fan of the idea in the slightest personally.

I'm not dissing him when I say it's sad, everything you have said is correct. Hotdog is a dam good winger but the sad thing is we don't have a strike winger to go with our safe winger. That will cost us in the points for department.

I am very happy we have Hotdog I just wish we had a strike winger on the other side. A Meritt, Uate, Vatuvei, Yow Yeh type player.

Or Cam Smith as hooker

id throw in T. Peachy in the main reserves

Damn straight, we have so many fringe players I forget some... Argh sooo much potential next year!

Pickard should be next in line for the No.1 if Gardner goes down too in my opinion..

Your post is pretty accurate Matt. I'd say this is our strongest back line up, but I'm hoping Mills steps up, preferably in place of Poms.

I agree with Mills going into the centres or Leulete.

I stand by what I said at the start of 2011, I still think Pom's best spot is back row. But with the depth we now have in the pack, might be hard to see him getting a spot, hell I'm even find it hard to find a spot for Taga on the bench, as much as I like big Sam.

do you think if graham moves to the backrow bakyua or frizzel may end up in the centres?

They should widen the field and add a few extra players per team, that way we could fit a few more of them on there -

starting to get excited about the potential of our team!

only changes i would consider would be townsend to NSW cup and kelly taking halfback, with Morris becoming our utility

im undecided with Mills vs Stapo, Mills is a much better attacker but Stapo is awesome defending cross field bombs into our in goal,

Pomeroy vs Leutele, i would try poms for a few games with carney to see if he can do something better with the ball he gets, if not then bring up Leutele

I think Pom will start off the year in our centers. Well that would be the plan I guess heading into trials, after that I guess it would be all up to who's in form and not injured.
