Does gal do that with senior players??
Nope. Support your f****** teammates particular players that are still trying to find their place
There is a difference with addresses the whole team rather than singling one player
And what because they are footy players means that they are tough enough to cope all criticism and don't lose confidence. Winning is built in confidence both as a team and as individuals

whatever pal. Gallen is an intense character on the field. what, you think he's just gunna step out of his fired up shell, sit down on a little picnic rug, open up a little suitcase, pull out a thermus and so daintily pour a nice little cup of shape the **** up for Gards? i don't think so. his ambition, passion and desire to destroy/win is shown in the way he reacts to **** like this and anyone who suggests he take a more humanistic approach is trippin balls!

besides, in the blink of an eye, play was on, Gards gets held back, not on the mark, misses the pass. Does Gal have time to check a replay before he blows up? no, all he knows is that the pass was where it needed to be, Gards wasn't there, best blame Gards. i'm sure it was all settled later.

More of a test against the Eels IMO. It's easier to lift against teams like the Dragons but can we do it in a game we are expected to win. Let's hope so. Hayne is playing on one leg at the moment so we will have no excuses. Can't have Flanagan being outcoached by Kearney, Mark Bastard will drop his bundle.

Agree wholeheartedly Tef. I'm way more worried about the Eels game than any of the past four.

yeh we should be ok against the Eels. If we can maintain our hunger and intensity they won't stand a chance.

what I noticed last night that was pleasing was when the dragons spread the ball there seemed to be an overall calm in our defence and we were prepared to wait for them to come at us

just looking at the stats on the ladder. We are sitting pretty at 4th (equal 3rd on premiership points with Bulldogs).

We have a fairly poor For at 86 i think it was. 1 of the lower in the comp, if not lowest.

BUT our against is 77 which is well and truly the lowest in the comp.

Great resemblence to 2008 IMO.

We have failed to score over 20 points yet in 1 match. But we also havent conceded anymore than 20 points in a match either. When you look at games like tonight with Melbourne, they scored 42 points, but still managed to allow Cowboys 3 tries.

yeh i was thinking about that when i watched the Storm game. i was just wondering how their attack would stand up to the Sharks' defense.

We would hold them to under 2 points easy. We are the best team running around in the world at the moment.

Missed the game (listened on the Radio). Now watching the replay.

First half notes.

Carney: dangerous; great variation in the kicking game
Ross & Gibbs: Exceptional. We're not missing Douglas and Pillow at all
Best and Williams: Most impressive 40 minutes I've seen
Pomeroy: Has turned the corner; not sure what Flanno has done with him but keep it up.

Overall: great half of footy; the Dragon's didn't play poorly. 6-0 was a fair indication at the half.

... watching the second half now...

Made me smile when Besty led the impromptu player and fan rendition of Up Up...

Only caught the last couple of seconds unfortunately...

some notes on the second half:

- A few puzzling ref decisions, but once again we played well enough to make up for it and that's what we need to do every week
- I would have been OK with BOD on the Nightingale effort - that was a square up for the blunder at the other end IMO
- We didn't lose any structure when Robson went to hooker and Graham to halfback for the last 20; I'm fine with that option if it's only for 20, but would prefer Carney and Robson to still do the kicking

This was our best performance of the year by far. Yeah - we only scored 2 tries, but our defense and our kicking game were very good and there was never really a period where we looked flat.

Forward passes for our first try????

THere are a lot of disgruntled Dragon fans saying there were three forward passes in our first try. Sorry, I have looked over and over again, I can't see any. Maybe they were flat but not forward. Just seems like more Dragons whingeing. Also our defense is not getting the credit it should. Dragon fans are again saying their attack was so pedestrian anyone could have defended against it.

Seems to me our friends across the bridge are having trouble coming to terms with this!

**** 'em, Chad. Tell them you also seen the forward passes, and remind them how they got ripped off a legit try to Nightingale. What the hell stir them up a bit more and say you reckon Wade didn't ground the ball properly for his try and Todd had a foot over the line in his 40/20.
