IMO that just sounds like a sexist attitude to me. Even if it's subconscious. Who do you take seriously? Tim Gilbert who doesn't even know which players are kiwis or Queenslanders etc? Or maybe Gus Gould? I think you see a pretty girl and assume that she's only good for one thing and don't give her the benefit of the doubt she's due. I thought this particular girl had great delivery in the post match interviews. Was able to get quite a few questions in a short time and lead the interview well. No ego, no bull**** and good knowledge of the sport. If an ugly old man said the same thing no one would be saying this.

Mark, I said I wasn't being sexist, why do you accuse me of that when I went to great lengths to state I am not?

And also you said you agreed with Jake's comment that it was a ridiculous question. A bit hypocritical wasn't it?

I thought it was a funny question. Nothing wrong with it and the reaction was priceless. I never said it was ridiculous. I just said I think Jake was reading it the right way.

I think your attitude sounds a bit sexist, not crazy just a bit, and I don't think saying "I'm not sexist" changes that. Otherwise people would just say whatever they want and finish it with "I'm not sexist, racist, homophobic, hateful or anything else" and we'd all be happy people that never get into arguments.

Fair enough Mark I understand what you are saying but I can tell you 100% it was not meant to be a sexist comment. My job as a recruiter for apprentices sees me remaining 100% impartial and it is always the best person for the job, no matter their gender.

I think a women can and will become a ref. I have been reffed by them, it is hard to take them seriously but in my experiences they have been better than most men. It will take abit of getting used to by the players but I think we will see women refs doing a better job than men in the future.

For the record I don't think you were being consciously or deliberately sexist.
