Seriously though Flanno should give Murphey a run.

Do you realise how much time and keyboard punching you just wasted? :p

Just the last line was all you needed JB.

I won't be surprised that who ever we might name at 6 in a few hours won't actually be the 6 on game day.

Instead of doing the Gordon> Holmes positional switchey thing we are doing the Graham>Lewis 5/8 positional switchey thing. Sounds a legit strategy, it allows Prior onto the bench to play 10 minutes. 0_o

Its possible that he will name Wade and Wade will start at 5/8 but Bird may come on after 20.

That is what I have been told.

Im guessing he'll put Wade at 6. This has been par for the course during origin and I see no reason flanno would change given how many of those games we won :p
With lewis and taga (potentially) back he has the pack to lose wade, though agreed, id rather see murphy given a shot. Its early days so who knows. He might just show some spark, or even combine with robbo (god forgive me) well

yeah I wouldnt read to much into what is named today, even if murphy or bird is to play 6 on the weekend I doubt he names them

One time his nature is on the money - never put pressure on a debut player.

Yeah the crappy Couriermail is going on with this:

SHARKS coach Shane Flanagan will start Wade Graham at five-eighth against the Titans, replacing Ben Barba. Desperate for their first win of the season, the Sharks have also named boom rookie Jack Bird on the bench.

Sharks: 1 Michael Gordon 2 Sosaia Feki 3 Gerard Beale 4 Ricky Leutele 5 Valentine Holmes 6 Wade Graham 7 Jeff Robson 8 Andrew Fifita 9 Michael Ennis 10 Chris Heighington 11 Jayson Bukuya 12 Anthony Tupou 13 Paul Gallen. Interchange: 14 Luke Lewis 15 Matt Prior 16 Jack Bird 17 David Fifita 18 Tinirau Arona.

If he wants to put Bird in the halves he shouldn't be starting on the bench and then coming on during the game. Very stupid to have rotating halves in a game, Graham and Bird might be two very different players and might change the dynamic of the structure. Still, playing a centre at 5/8th isn't the most smartest idea either, Murphy should've been in with Bird on bench.

BUT we most likely will see

16. Bird
7. Robson

6. Graham
12. Tupou
13. Gallen

Disagree. Let the softening up period pass then bring Bird on....first game and all.

he still may come in but I find it strange taga hasn't been named, maybe he is fatigued from his 11 minutes on Saturday haha
Yep. Tags is dropped after 11 minutes of FG. Atleast it took Brown a whole game. He is a very wishy washy coach on the one hand, but refuses to drop a lot of poor performers on the other.
