Anyway so what changes if any do we think will be made? Or will Flanno stick solid with the same team. Prior back in maybe? For what its worth I think we showed glimpses of improvement last week and we should get the job done this week. Im also guilty of whinging on here but thats just because I get so worked up about it. I calm down a bit soon after but posting a whinge is somehow theraputic !

flanno will have no choice but do bring in J.Bird....not that he would want to but something tells me his job will be on the line....maybe even J.Gagan...to be honest he doesnt have much more option for changes to halves and forwards.....

we have one option in the halves and that is to bring murphy in but unless we change the way we play he isn't going to be very affective, change the make up of the backs isn't going to change a thing

We don't have a bad side, we have backs with speed and good footwork and forwards that are decent attackers, imo if flanno was to change the way we attack I think we can bounce back and start winning games, we are getting up the field easily, our forwards are doing their jobs but it's our lack of structure in the opposition 20 that is killing us

We have a decent side on paper, a top 8 side and that's even with robbo at 7, but we really need to change our style or it's going to be a very long year, we have all the ingredients just have to learn how to mix them correctly

A loss here will put the blow torch on lots within the club. Compete like we did 2nd half on sat and we win.. Rather than hammer barba about not creating id like all 1-17 to mussel up and win as a team.

Might head down to this one, tipping us to get up 18-16.
Time for Flanagan to wake up and make some changes.

Read on a Facebook page that Barba has been charged by the MRC and facing 1 week out if he pleads guilty 2 if he fights and loses. Dangerous throw was the charge apparently

More bad news. Just doesn't get any better does it. Has anyone seen the tackle?

Did David Fifita get charged for that brilliant tackle on Cam Smith? Geez those refs **** me - from what I saw it was a bloody good tackle that put the Australian captain on his backside and shook him up a little. If he does that to any other player I reckon nothing happens.

I remember.

Was thinking at the time, well there's our solution to the Number 6 issue for a week.

Mate not having a shot at you but I'm am sick of hearing and reading this , saw it in FB on this forum the other forum.

Wake Up we never competed in the second half , Melbourne were leading 36-6 they clocked off , their chief playmaker and arguably one of the top 5 players in the world was taken off and rested , we received about 100 penalties in quick succession , we scored 2 soft late consolation tries , that's all , Hope folks aren't reading too much into that .

The only think I will say is we got away from Flannos boring gameplan and threw the ball around a little bit.

Bet your last dollar this week we will be back to the same old boring game plan , 5 forward hit ups an inside pass or two followed by a piss poor 5th tackle kick - nothing will have changed .

just a good "old fashion pick them up and dump them" type pf tackle
Was a great tackle from a much smaller man in Barba if I recall. Possibly saved an overlap or line break as well

Good point and I tend to agree. Showing potentially good attack or signs of enterprising play has not been a problem even under Flanno. The major issue has been that we only do it for maybe 10 mins a game when we are already well behind. Weather Flanno notices the change or not regardless he puts us back to the same old style the very next game from the opening minute.

Heck we have even played some kick ass games under Flanno like when we comprehensively beat the Roosters at home in 2013 and played an expansive (relatively) power game with plenty of aggression and urgency. We actually had shape and some fluidity in attack and defense was rock solid and pushed up. That was probably the best game we have seen from the Sharks under Ricky or Flanno. We had a plan to win and we executed it exceptionally well.

The ISSUE is that Flanno has not been able to bottle this up and replicate it the next week or even the week and months after. Surely he must see how successful we were but either it was a complete fluke or he stubbornly believes the grind is where it is at. Does my head in either way

Even that game you mentioned, didn't we shut up shop and nearly lose it ?
