Gallen's Ripping Sharks Win
You little ripper. I can’t possibly express in words just how ecstatic I am right now. Flanno has his first win and he is just as thrilled as I am.

You little ripper. I can’t possibly express in words just how ecstatic I am right now.
Flanno has his first win and he is just as thrilled as I am.
I can’t remember the last time we sang the team song that loud and proud which was a really great feeling.
We were very confident after last week’s loss to the Warriors and spoke about the extra effort all week.
It’s come to a point where we just had to stop the talk and put in the extras.
Our defence was solid throughout the game and we all put in for each other which I think you could really see.
They had a lot of ball and kicked two 40/20’s yet we still managed to hold them out.
I thought our attack was actually a little ordinary and the last three minutes of the first half was extremely disappointing as we let Anasta and Kenny-Dowell in for tries.
I lost my cool at halftime and gave the side a huge spray. I could tell you what I said but I’m not allowed to write expletives so I will keep it clean.
One of the boys got upset and said that this happens every week but Flanno was quick to rip in and keep the talk positive which got the idea out of our heads and kept us focused.
Tim Smith played well for us despite missing our final training session on Thursday to see his partner give birth to a baby boy.
Dean Collis scored a great try for us and should take a lot of confidence out of this game not only for next week but also leading into next year.
He hasn’t been playing to his full potential this year so I hope this game will be a turning point for him because he is a really talented player.
Snowden and Douglas laid the platform for us once again and Nathan Gardner has been the find of the season.
Next year will be a big test for him once teams start to figure him out a bit but he will take a lot of confidence out of the year he’s had.
It was just one of those good tough games, plenty of energy and heat in it which I love playing.
Ben Pomeroy hurt his ribs and couldn’t move after the game but appeared a lot better when I saw him today.
This round was the 'Call to Arms' in aid of men’s cancer which is something that is close to our hearts at the Sharks.
Jon Mannah was 18th man for us last night which is great to see after what he has been through this past year.
I have donated my boots from the match with all proceeds going to the Cancer Council so

We have another fiery game next week when we take on Melbourne even though it will count for nothing.
We can’t make the eight, they can’t make the eight but we will be going out to prove something against their big name players. Let’s see if we can make it two in a row!
