Guys we need to get used to it. We've bought no one - lost heaps, we are an ageing, boring football side so unless the coach starts making the one or two changes we armchair critics can see need to be made, then we all should be prepared to buckle in for this long, gruelling life of following the sharks.

hahaha bunch of crying girls you lot are. It was bad game we have won 3 out of the last 5 been only the second side to beat Souths and are in the 8.

2 years ago we were playing to avoid the spoon now we are playing to secure a finals spot. So in just two years we have done a 180 but you want to whinge about it.

FMD even the Storm had an off night yet you don't see their fans opening veins.

Exactly. But you know Flanno will never get credit when we win it's only when we lose

This is true! We have come a long way, and I think our side will still get better over the next couple of years!

I think a few people have been drinking too much of Teflon's coolade

You're right tef because we don't bag out our players every chance we get and tell the coach who took us from wooden spoon contenders to a top 8 side to sack himself.

We are only 1 or 2 outside backs and a hooker from being a top squad. We are currently chasing those outside backs and Lafai has essentially said sharks are his new home unless he gets resigned. We are also chasing Wighton as well, two young good backs and we have a great hooker in Lichaa coming through the ranks. Morris will retire at the end of next year and unless De Gois has a blinder he wont be resigned either which gives Lichaa the perfect chance to step in.

Lets look at the game, Carney had 11 missed tackles, Our 1 - 5 had 12 combined. In fact Lewis and Carney had half of our missed.

Coaches fault they missed them right?

Our Props (Taga, fifita, Toops, Ross) ran for a total of 228 metres.

Their starting props ran for 373 metres.

Again coaches fault that the defence muscled up and stopped our go forward.

Something of interest. lewis had the most tackle busts with 9, then Feki and Fifita tied with 4.

Our back 5 had 58 hitups, Our forward pack (including bench forwards) had 83, our starting forward pack had 52 hitups.

Pomeroy made the most tackles out of our back 5 with 17 followed by Jono Wright on 15.

What's the go w/ Ross, played bugger all minutes again last night, the runs Taga did I actualy thought were ok in terms of metres per run, only problem was he didn't do enough of the them, lack of game time as well?

One thing we do need to fix up is our support play on the inside, cant remember how many times last night Lewis did a run, made pretty good metres, unfortunatly the only guy who was the option of passing to was he's outside man, if he had support on the inside there was futher metres & breaks to be made.

I think this is usually covered by Gards or Gordon. Matty Wright just doesnt have the vision for it

I actually thought our backline played well last night.
Pom included.

Our forwards were dominated and we had no line speed. They practically walked down the field.

Our game plan of kicking bombs obviously didnt work. Probably would have gone better applying pressure and tried to get repeat sets instead of bombing eveyr chance we had.

I've seen him play worse...

Carney IMO had a shocker defensively.

When a guy like Pom consistently misses tackles and makes poor decisions in defence that lead directly to tries from the opposition, then yes that is most definitely the coaches fault because he keeps picking him.

Couldn't have watched much of the game. Look, I don't like bagging out players as I never played the game but last night Poms got turned around in defence constantly, grabbing at thin air and being beaten easily by Linnett nearly every time. The time when he went to dummy half on the last tackle and just ran it was almost comical.

The poor guy is down on confidence obviously. He needs some time away from the top team.

When is Gibbs due back? Missed him again last night. We just seem underdone for front rowers these days.

their forwards missed plenty of tackles as they have all year yet our dummy halves didn't run the ball - which means the coach thought it wasn't a good tactic to take them on up the middle but instead use the edges like they do every week, same old thing..

that's also why our props didn't make metres..

Stapleton and Feki impressed me last night. Feki is really elusive in traffic. I'd like to see him or stapo take Pom's centre spot when Beau comes back.

Pom: 17 tackles 3 missed tackles 2 ineffective tackles

Carney: 16 tackles 11 missed 2 ineffective.

Pomeroy (surprisingly) was the better defender of the two.

So where do bad reads in defence get recorded? It's neither a missed or ineffective tackle I would have thought.
