Carney: 16 tackles 11 missed 2 ineffective.
The problem is Pom has no plus side of the ledger. Carney did miss a lot and was poor, but he adds so much in attack. Not an excuse for poor defence though. But Pom adds zip. Carney found him quite a few times last night with a little space in front of him, and he just runs at the defence, and they drag him to the ground even before he's reached them. They drag him down with his leading 'fend' all time this year. The same passes to Feki would at least see some footwork and evasion.


Pomeroy (surprisingly) was the better defender of the two.

Pretty bad stats from Carney but do note he had Props and backrowers running at him all night after doing all the work in attack. Not so much for Poms...
