How can anyone be calling for Beale to be dropped?

The few (and I mean few) times he got the ball he looked elusive and dangerous. Nearly scored a try too if it wasn't for some great defence. The foot on the line was amateurish but then again Brown should have scored in the first place.

Only change I'd make to the backline is Holmes for Brown.

Beale, Leutele and Feki should be there next week. Gordon plays but should be on notice.

Agree 100%, being at the game he looked good and dangerous, maybe will val there more will happen. I think they can be a dangerous pair. I thought ricky and feki played well. Robson's second half kicking was much better and actually created some opportunities. ( as he should lol )

Brown was terrible and Val has to be there.

All the wrist slitters calm down. I think we have massive potential, and the main thing is, so many guys have so much room to improve. The raiders don't. We will be a stronger team in the coming weeks, For once we have potential across the park, players just need to step up. If they do we will win more then we lose.

On a side note, convinced my mrs to be convert from manly to sharks and she became a member today, so I'm super proud

Well that was a massive cluster****. Everyone had their good and bad moments. Seemed like the team just turned up and thought it was going to be an easy win.
Our ruck defence was very worrying at times. and the bench rotation was very strange.
No point having 4 forwards on the bench when gallen won't come off.
Should put someone with some x factor on the bench like bird, tracey, gardner

well I missed this game as I was stuck at bangkok airport (absolutely filthy I couldnt see it)
got home and turned on the replay to see the last 2 plays of the game.
24-20, 30 seconds on the clock, 40 out with our ball and 3 tackles to go.

1st was where we missed the overlap completely and ricky started running backwards with the ball away from the tryline.
Then robson....need I say more.

Obviously I didnt see the game so cant really comment, but the 2 plays I saw it just looked like same old to me.
Glad I missed it.

However his strikerate for a centre is terrible, even Pomeroy puts him to shame. Make no mistake, a centre is there to score you try's

First game back, since when have we had a new half, hooker centre and wing paring all at once ?
if barba plays 30-50% better, not making those crazy kicking errors, ennis doesn't kick it dead for Jack dick head to score, its a whole different ball game.

Everyone whinged that our wingers never got a shot to score tries last year, Feki had 4 or 5 opportunities last night, and got close. Thats more then any other game i can remember. If i was beale i prob wouldn't throw it to brown either.

Andrews mistakes were also terrible, take away that silly stuff, and wade giving away the late hit and kicker in the air and we win.

When they had a repeat set our defence was weak and i think that needs to be improved massively.

Going for two penalty goals killed us.

end of the day, we played like crap, gave away stupid penalties and our kicking game was pathetic and got no calls our way and still were close to winning.

Its no way doom and gloom for me.
flano can't stop barba having one of the worst games in recent memory, nor can he stop wade/andrew making those brain snaps on the field.

Calm down sooks.

Like i said before, we have so much improvement in us, and what gives me hope is a team like the raiders didn't do to much wrong and only just won. We can do this, get behind the team for once,

I agree. Canberra scored some soft tries. Even the rapana one should of been stopped. That was terrible paper thing defence.

I'm sure flanno can stop those brain snaps. Start A. Fifita and wade on the bench next week for d.fifita and Lewis (if fit) and tell them to get the **** out of their game or its next stop nsw cup. Wont happen though and instead we probably see both of them and Mitch Brown in the starting line up again next week.

Now that I've had a good nights sleep I have reviewed the game in my head. Some players did a decent job last night and I should have given kudos to Feki not just Heighno for their efforts.

However while people have called for the dropping of Leutele and Beale I disagree. The main problem with the back line movement is that Wade takes the ball up from the middle fringe and runs towards the sideline at 45 degrees but never passes it. He is a ball hog like Gallen. He may be getting metres but it stifles up the opportunity to use the backs and is too predictable.

Our kicks are still woeful and are not high enough because the backs can't seem to get down there on time and apply pressure on Wrighton for the catch.

I could see Ennis was itching to direct the team around the park but probably deferred to Gallen since he was the new boy on the block but Gallen just looked like he was thinking he'd rather be elsewhere.

I was gobsmacked at the use of the interchange and A Fifita should have been hooked earlier to send the message to get his act together.

To be fair, Robbo was reasonable but his kicks were not high enough. It needs more boot but I don't think he has it in him. If Holmes is used instead of Brown I think his kicking is a few notches above Robbo's and he can come in from the wing to do the attacking kicks by interchanging with a fast running forward like Tupou.

The team looked tired by the 30th minute....but there are two teams out there and the other side looked more enthused.

The decision to take the 2 when it was 12 on 12 was the biggest let down. We made the grand final in the 9s. That one defender less would have opened up holes everywhere.

My biggest pet peave is fifita. Ive never seen so much flopping since i thought of my ex missus. He does the defenders job for them. Slows the play the ball down while forcing an error. Super star my ass
