The issue with a number of the players mentioned is that they have clearly been signed at the back end of their careers hence are not at their peak.

In fact recently the only player I can think of the Sharks have signed from elsewhere that has really kicked on is Snowden.

Nigel scored 32 tries in 61 games, he had a strike rate there of super simmo
he was a bit of a dud, but again, a lack of quality ball saw him fail at the sharks

A try every second game still blows our current centres strike rates out of the water does it not?

Then again our team wasn't THIS crap when Vagana was around and guess our current centres don't have the big reps.

Those stats on Collis and Poms is !!!

Would be good to know how many try assists our halves have laid on to centres the last few seasons but I am guessing it is not much!

We haven't had quality ball going to our centres since Bird was around and that was only really through our offloads, Noddy didn't get too creative.

really... i think he was very, um... not worth what 600-700k for 12 wins?

If Bird, Noddy and Degois all were there for 2009 with Barrett the sharks coulda been a revalation. But your right for the amount he was getting he didnt do much, just a few stupid chip kicks and hospital balls. He was always one of my favourite players in his time at cronulla though, it would of been hard in his position trying to win games with smith outside of you and average centre's.

IF... IF is the key word in this...

IF we hadnt got rid of presto and co, would we have won a comp?

IF bird and buster could handle the booze, would we be better?

IF the world doesnt end in 2012 are the mob going to come after me for all the money i owe.

Cant live on ifs...

live on what we have/had, and we had barrett, and despite him being one of my favourite players... he was poor
