Just off the top of my head. What is with plaers not playing to their potential once they sign with the Sharks?

It is a retirment home for them where they get paid overs to come and play for us so they dont think they need to put in any effort.

I think your call on Toupu is a bit harsh. He has always been most dangerous running out wide. Not his fault that we couldnt give him a decent 5/8 or half with a good passing game! he puts in every game. As for the other 3, well - you are on the money!

Ross is harsh too when on the field Ross performed very well. It's not his fault he got a serious injury.

Drag Queen territory.
we have more succcess with lesser known players

What Yeti said. Every time we go after the big name buy or throw around silly money, he ends up flopping. Even if it's not totally his fault, it always seems to happen.

The only major name/money guy we've brought in over the past decade who wasn't total pants (to use the term of his number one fan) was Noddy.

Agreed on the injury thing but indiscipline saw him spend a fair bit of time off the paddock under suspension so we didn't get the best value for money out of him.

BTW: Tupou shouldn't be in that list. With our supply of good back rowers I've often wondered how he would go out in the centres.

Karlos Filiga for 400K or whatever it was

Tupou cost $1.5 mil for 4 years I'm sorry but that is sickening complete BUST

Cuthbertson and Hannay both copped 200+ to play A-Grade pretty funny if you think is almost destoying a club by signing bums who have been bit part players to top level contacts is funny

Heaps more but I saw people screaming for Tahu to be signed here too so I guess people just don't learn.

Ross missed a lot of football due to careless high shots don't forget.

His deal was 450k wasn't it? That worked out to be around $42,857 per game. Terrible value! He also went from origin form to falling out of the S.O.O squads.

Don't forget Darren Mapp on 220k for what 1 first grade game?

Josh Hannay, Darren Albert, Karl Filiga, Leon Bott, Andrew Lomu and co

Yeah Karlos Filliga, $600,000 over 3 years! Bit harsh on Tupou though.

Along as Jeremy Smith doesn't join that list!
