Fox really don't rate Katoa... and they must have good insider news on Wade too...

Predicted Sharks team: 1. Will Kennedy 2. Ronaldo Mulitalo 3. Connor Tracey 4. Jesse Ramien 5. Matt Ikuvalu 6. Matt Moylan 7. Nicho Hynes 8. Toby Rudolf 9. Blayke Brailey 10. Braden Hamlin-Uele 11. Briton Nikora 12. Wade Graham 13. Dale Finucane 14. Luke Metcalf 15. Andrew Fifita 16. Aiden Tolman 17. Siosifa Talakai

Well Ikavalu basically just confirmed they don't know ****

What does this mean “and I think physically I am probably in the next best shape I have been since playing NRL”
He's been in better shape but his current shape is 2nd to his best.

He's a winger trying to think mate, was always going to end in disaster.

Just wondering where Jack Williams is?

He was one of the best forwards last year, yet no trial match and not listed in team lists.

However no clarification of an injury?

Very similar injury / clean out to Cameron M - a couple of weeks out ..

Based off what we now know. (no Graham, Trindall, McInness, Williams or Pele) I would go with.

Fullback: Kennedy
Wings: Katoa and Ronnie
Centre: Tracey and Ramien
5/8: Moylan
Halfback: Hynes
Props: BHU and Toby
Hooker: Brailey
Second Row: Nikora and WIlton
Lock: Finucane

Bench: Royce Hunt, Talaki, Tolman, Fifita

You could also just as easily Slot Ikuvulu in at centre or wing and drop a forward from the bench and put Tracey on the bench. I would likely run the large bench against the raiders though.

Was mentioned in the club medical update about wade that he had a knee clean-out

NRL.com's predicted rd 1 team.Screenshot_20220304-150320_Samsung Internet.jpg

I'd say this will be pretty close with who we have unavailable, Toby and Dale to swap positions though. Same with Teig and Talakai.

If think swap Teig and Talakai too
If Dale is gunna be playing prop in our fully fit side no reason he can’t wear the shirt in now, wouldn’t massively impact how either of them are used I wouldn’t think

Bizarre they put Toby in the 13.

We saw the benefit of Finucane's passing game in the trial. No doubt they'll play him there until McInnes is fit.

Im really not excited to see Tolman in round 1 team lists. I understand why we retained him, but I’d rather see him in dire emergency situations.

Not sure if Hazelton is in top squad or if injured during trials but I think the last two years he’s been knocking down the door and I think against an aggressive raiders pack he offers a lot more.

Would be great to reward Hazelton with a top 30 spot. Feel like he'll only get better by playing against quality competition, and he has the size our pack is missing.
