Petition to Cronulla Sharks Board - Keep Greg Bird!

Why I Wont (Cant) sign this petition!
This club is going banana's!!!
The whole issue with Greg Bird, whist his actions was plain stupid, is that he wont tell the club exactly what went on!
Now we have both our CEO and Coach in exactly the same position, yet they retain their jobs without any judgement.
What Greg Bird did (and tried to cover up) was a low act, and I really couldn't be bothered having him at our club regardless of how good he is. But both Stuart and Zappia have to face up to what they are being accused of so we can all move on!
I dont want these two issues to be the loophole that Bird uses to get back to our club. He has to clear his name honestly.

Guys I think this is a good idea and can work but can some one wright a new front page or something did any one proof read before it was posted up?
can the text of the petition be edited after its live and accepting signatures? If so, if that can be written up then im sure everyone else will sign it and we'll be able to send it onto the club/media.

While I agree it's a good initiative for the Bird supporters, I would suggest (again) all those taking the time out to sign it, also send a quick email to the club and let their feelings known. As I think you will find individual contact would add more weight to your personal beliefs.

The content of the letter is not too bad and good on you for doing it sharkstragic. The main area you need to fix up is the sentence structure. You have far too many commas when it should be full stops and a new sentence. If you at least fix this it will read better and look more professional.

Lots of people have been critical but thats to be expected i suppose. I didnt actually write this but put my name to it with best interests a heart. If I had time I would have gone through it and corrected these mistakes but as I am at work and have other priorities I didnt have much choice. I left it unedited as it sounded heartfelt to me and also to show that most of us arent speech writers, english teachers, lawyers and rhodes scholars and the language and grammar used is common to us all. Its the way we speak to each other most of the time. Unfortunately i dont have alot of time to spare to write a more linguisticaly correct version and it's not like we have a lot of time up our sleeve regarding this issue. There was plenty of talk on this forum but no action. Somebody had to get the ball rolling and I have copped plenty for it. That's fine. If you guys can write it better please go ahead. Start a new petition and get everyone to sign it. Just don't whinge about it guys actually do something for a change.

Infact I will go as far as to say you cant win a premiership with him
Thugs like G Bird are a cancer on the team. He is a grub and will ultimatly lead to the short fall of the club not the sucess.
Think outside the square guys. RL is as much about mental attitude as it is Physical abilities.
And players like G Bird will always ultimatly bring a team undone.

feel free to tell me why you think my comment is complete bullsh1t. Keeping in mind if G Bird is sacked we will never really know. If he not sacked anf the Sharks win the premiership, I will be proven wrong. But since that has not happened yet, its open discusion.
I am interested to hear your thoughts on why the Sharks need a thug like G Bird in its team.

Spelling and grammar checkers on Word must have been out on the turps when this was typed up. Fair f-ck you didn't even capitalise 'greg bird' in the opening sentence. This is continued throughout with 'greg' and 'bird'. Looks pretty silly tearing apart the media's credibility and integrity, then going on to use 'facts' released by the Daily Tele (Milligan's father's feelings about the whole thing).
Its too 'me to you' feeling. It sounds like its coming from one single frustrated fan. It goes into way too much detail. It needs to be a broad, firm statement that sounds like it comes from an 'us' instead of a 'me'.
This won't be taken seriously, regardless of how many signatures it carries.
