Early reports suggest the only change is the introduction of a Sunday night game.

9 have three FTA games, Fox the remainder.

This is what the term 'Epic Fail' was invented to describe

So they compound the problem with Monday night football by introducing Sunday night football cause everyone feels like going out drinking beer on a cold night before work starts.

TV used to support the game and now it controls it. The jokes on them I suppose cause the way the quality of the game is sliding they will end up with a crap product that fans will start to walk away from.

Has this commission done anything useful to justify itself yet? I could deal with this better if the game (rules, refs, ect) was in better shape but it isn't.

Someone needs to look beyond the short to mid term, have some balls and be willing to step on some toes for the good of the game.

Just cause they will be getting all this money in does not guarantee the NRL success.

They should have a Saturday arvo game, say 3:30. I reckon that would be a better idea then a Sunday night game. I don't think Sunday night would be a bad idea, just not every week.

I used to love Saturday arvo footy. The old ABC coverage with Warren Boland and Bomber Peard was the best ever. No fluff or crap, pure Rugby League.

I can predict Brisbane's fixtures for the first 20 rounds now:

Round 1 - Brisbane vs TBA (Friday night)
Round 2 - Brisbane vs TBA (Friday night)
Round 3 - Brisbane vs TBA (Friday night)

So on and so forth, except for maybe when Origin is on so they don't have to back up so soon.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but part of the deal means SOO is locked in on a Wednesday night for the next five years. Terrible news for the competition, the reason we all follow the game so passionately in the first place.

Fixed scheduling has the capacity to be a good thing but I don't think it will. There is no indication that games will be evenly spread so I guess it will still be the same process to decide the games but Fox and Nine choose twenty rounds in advance. Gives us time to get ready for our Monday night games.

The rest of the deal has no creativity, no concerns or feedback being addressed, no forward thinking.

Look at the state of the game and audience feedback now and consider how we got to this point.

Agree, thats one of the first things I was critical of, easy for those in suits to expect the players to back up within 48hrs & the clubs who pay the players wages to cop the injuries & the non availability of their highest paid recruits to either scheduling or fatigue.
