You'd hope there is predetermined scheduling at the start of the year. As well as all teams getting on FTA an equal (or abouts) amount of times.

Won't happen though. Brisbane, Tigers, Dragons, Roosters, Panthers own FTA now.

First 20 rounds fixed at start of year, last 6 rounds fixed by Round 16... not bad.

A bit over $900million in cash, $100 million in advertising.

Mobile/internet/NZ rights still to come.

Generally same TV day/night structure, but with an addition of 13 Sunday 6:30 games on Fox over the season.

Also 3 Thursday Channel 9 games spread throughout the season.

In your head, rent free
900 mil plus 100 mil in advertising equalling 1.025 billion. not a bad deal.

plus they still havent signed off on NZ and mobile communications.

Fox to give up its first-and-last right option that previously carried through until 2027.

Nine totally stubborn and arrogant on the two Friday night games, and the Broncos playing every Friday night.

on a postive note i like how the first 20 rounds is set, makes much easy for fans like me who have to travel a long distance
for home games. this will make it easy to organsie cheap flights & time off work etc.
i do not like how monday night football has been kept cause sharks do not seem to play well on mondays
also think it is unfair that a qld based team will get one friday night game each week as that will make them more appealing for
sponsors as they will get more free to air coverage.
i know the cap is going up for next year, but the exact amount as far as i know is not been announced, does anyone what the cap
will be next year or when it will be announced?

I don't blame Nine, I blame the Commission. I thought it was Gallop who had no balls, guess he wasn't on his Pat Malone.

None of the main people in this press conference come across well.

Grant - arrogant
Interim CEO - sock puppet
Gyngell - smug creep

Fox Sports exec is good.

Now that Channel 9 has the rights again and the first 20 rounds are fixed I hope we don't see Brisbane on Friday every bloody week. Maybe the public will be more aware of it, if it is a fixed draw. I would hate to see a team like the Eels get heaps of TV games in the first 20 rounds if they play as bad as they have done this year, next year. Then again, they have played bad all year and still get TV games, mind blowing! Hopefully, this will make it more even for the first 20 rounds.

Teams like Cronulla and Canberra should be crying foul over the unfair distribution of TV games the last couple of years as Channel 9 claims to do not have a fixed draw so they can see performance, well that is rubbish. But I think this is a topic for another time before I get too worked up over it.

Yes, this. I thought the last few grandfinals that were played around 5 had a good timing about them. But obviously that isn't good for Channel 9 because it clashes with their news! And we normally don't play any other game at 7pm during the season, why the grand final? (though I believe this is changing as of next year).

Early reports suggest the only change is the introduction of a Sunday night game.

Yeh & watch how many Sunday night games Sharks end up with on top of their heavy MNF schedule.

Read though that they will be schedulling the first 20 rounds for 2013 in advance. Await that announcement..
