Before this game Melbourne had scored 18, 34, and 21 respectively. Tonight they scored the grand total of 6 points, and people want to whinge about it when they have Cronk, Smith, Harris, Bromwich etc and we've beaten them before tonight 2 times since 2006. Seriously.........

Obviously Maloney, Townsend, Ennis, Barba are all playing together for the first season, you have to expect mistakes until they get the combinations and understanding right. Getting 2 points against a side that does all the basics correctly is huge. Melbourne had enough ball to win they just couldn't penetrate.

I saw Smith put a mouth guard in his socks after it had been knocked out of someones mouth. I wasn't sure whose it was. But if it were Grahams, well we know nothing will come of it because: Cameron Smith.

That is the annoying thing though. If it can be proven without a doubt that it is Graham's mouth guard that Smith picked up, well we know nothing will come of it. Might seem like a small thing to get annoyed with, but just because it is Smith I doubt they will look into it. But any other player they would jump on it. Bad sportsmanship this or that.

It's amazing what Melbourne get away with in staying on the player to long multiple times held was called and they still pushed us back or wouldn't get up and ref did nothing, they can wrestle and lay all over us and ref says were milking but we don't get off them in 2 seconds and it was called like twice but they can just do what they want?

Huge relief to get the win tonight. Sharks could have won by more but I think there were plenty of positives. The amount of repeat sets we got, I think that really helped our cause.

Just read through the whole thread and am surprised to see so many people not happy with the performance. The Melbourne storm are anti football professional cheats and we managed to play them off their game despite the very obvious help the referees gave them, they really could have been penalised another 20 or more times i reckon for lying on the ruck and being offside all night.

I saw plenty more attacking intent from us tonight than in the opening 3 games so I'm happy with that performance, if we're not dropping sitters we score 30 points easily and our defence is what made melbourne look a shadow of their usual self not the fact they were simply off their game.

Never seen Cronk or cam smith play a game and have so little positive influence to their team, with exception of that grand final flogging manly gave them (minus suspended smith).
Maybe Father Time is catching up on them.
