He was waving his flag for touch in goal as soon as Val's foot hit the post. I am moreso just pointing out incompetence than saying that the "call went against us".

Incorrect. The corner post is only not out on a try sciring situation.
If you kick the ball down field and it hits the cp, its a 20 tap.
Likewise if a defender touches it its a drop out.

Touchie was spot on.

This is true. The corner post has only been taken out of play for tries. Any other contact with it is touch in goal

i thought it was the right call but didn't know the rule re the post. Also thought Vals heel skimmed the touch in goal line anyway

Still a few unforced errors in his game, and sometimes fades until the background for periods of the game. But way less these days.
