Sorry guys, it was my bad.

My son was wearing his sharks onesie, he previously wore it on last years final game v the Cowboys.
The missus changed him with 5 mins to go into other PJs.

Don't worry he won't be wearing it again.

You really need to burn that onesie!

Strangely I never felt concerned even though they were the 4th leg of my multi. I'm enjoying the confidence of his team. Big test next week. If we beat the Cows it could be the year.

You wouldn't have been happy with Gal's impact

Im warming to the wet conditions suiting us again, after watching benny bird and Holmes changing angles and darting around. I was screaming like a crazy for ennis to have a dig at the line himself when we were stuck on their try line was convinced he could sneak through them, he kept it up his sleeve for next time.

That's a Houdini effort on that multi, I have lost count the amount of times I have lost a multi on the very last leg, I can count on one hand how many times I have bet on the sharks in the last few years, generally they let me down so I don't bet on them.

If I did have them on the last leg of a multi going into the last leg I would think the multi would be a $1.01 chance of actually getting up, that's the luck I have betting with the sharks, let alone a last leg multi on them.

Without checking stats I thought gals 2nd stint was good, steady hit ups, leaving the impact plays for fifs, which you can tell he enjoys being the go to impact playmaker.gal looked rooted 5-10 min into the 2nd half.

Can't believe we won that game.
Missed the first 15 minutes as I got home late from work and the missus reminded me I needed to fire up the BBQ for dinner.
Ran out of the house quicker than Usain Bolt, picked up a mate of mine, (almost ran him over) and drove up to Club Menai.

Walked in and the first thing I saw was bloody Dogs fans sitting in the Sports lounge. What! Who the **** let them in here.
12-0 up and there standing up puffing up their chests and telling anyone within earshot that this was their night.

Suddenly the smirk was wiped from their faces when Chad and then Val crossed the stripe. 12-10 and I think it was a bloody Taga penalty that saw Kasiano crash over to put the Dogs up 18-10 at halftime.

We looked flat, the passes weren't sticking, the Bulldogs were in our face and all I could hear in my head was Dosit saying he thought the Dogs might win this one. "Arrghhh! Out Satan!

Even though we put on a try through Ben "we never lose a game when I score" Barba, we still looked no closer to winning.
A Bulldogs mate who was at the game was taunting me via text that we were going to run out of puff running at their line all night. Smartarse.

We looked down and out. The Dogs fans in the sports bar and my mate at the game continued their taunts. Two minutes to go, the Dogs with the ball on our line, all seemed lost.

And then it happened. The heavens opened, the angels sang, the hand of the Lord came down upon ANZ stadium and provided divine intervention.

Beale got the ball, kicked for Barba when all the crowd were shouting "Pass it to Benny!"
But the Lord had greater plans for the Cronulla Sharks. His hand came down and forced the Dogs to knock on and give the Sharks the feed. A play or two and the Red Sea parted for Ricky to set sail for the corner. It was planned to the last detail. Ricky looked up, saw the hand of the Lord God guiding him and landed in the space he had created for him.

Then it was up to Saint Jimmy Maloney to kick it from the sideline. There was never any doubt. The faith was there, the belief was there. He kicked it and the Dogs fans wailed. And there was great nashing of teeth. And there were cries of anguish and despair.

But the Sharks faithful celebrated. Thank the Lord for your guidance.

I walked out of Club Menai thinking, what a wonderful feeling. I witnessed a miracle.

No you didn't. It was an infuriating game to watch. We were average and the dogs were getting away with murder in the ruck all night.

It wasnt just the sharks dropping the ball and playing poor. The dogs defended amazing. Lots of pressure. Townsend looked like he couldnt handle it but Maloney came at them time and again. Great game from him. Fif's didnt die wondering either.
IMO the dogs defense was greatly aided by a state of origin approach to the ruck by the ref. When we got decent play the balls, we looked good and dangerous. Then when the dogs were allowed to get three blokes to pile on the attacker, and then proceed to get off really slowly and then keep hands on him as he played the ball aswell, then their defense looked good. Manly tried the same thing last game and didn't get the win either. Its a credit to our attack that teams are focusing on slowing our game down to stop us.

Paul Vaughan should get on the phone to Flanno tonight. "Good win tonight, but I think I can help next time you come up against a massive pack".

@Chad: I love your long posts. Tonight's win definitely felt like a miracle!

Off the top of my head, I can think of three wins in this streak that I can say that we didn't really "deserve". I just know when that first loss comes, there will be the critics that come out and say we are pretenders. Doesn't really matter where we are at the moment. A loss wouldn't be the end of the world at this time of year. Anyway, my point here is, the best teams win games they don't deserve.

More importantly, UP UP CRONULLA!

Boy - what bad timing to play Hopoate "I don't play Sundays" on a Monday night - he looked dangerous every time he had the ball.

Reynolds looked sharp and apart from Barba we looked really sluggish.

Fifita and Bird are looking good out there though - so glad Feefs has cleaned up his play-the-ball transgressions

Taga needs to go - he lost the ball twice on the first tackle in his hit-ups and gave away a penalty that led to a try ...killing our momentum and it made our job so much harder. I hope Prior is good to go against the Cows.

I need to buy a defibrillator - and teach someone how to operate it before our next game!

I'd love him here.

I mentioned in the Rumor mill that if we got him, and Ben Matulino is that mystery Warriors forward we're supposedly chasing. Imagine a front row rotation of Fifita, Matulino, Prior and Vaughan. Holy ****. Here's hoping it happens aye?
