Wasn’t expecting that sort of fire from us in the second half. All we wanted for some ticker and they had it. Just a shame that we gave them too much of a head start in the first half. So I’m feeling hopeful that a win might be around the corner and I haven’t felt like that for most of the season.

U guys know im not a refs faulter. And im all for the crack down on head contact but theyve gotta be somewhat sensible. That penalty on Chad was the worst penalty ive ever seen given. Im not saying its a sharks conspiracy cos really the gagai one wasnt much worse but it just killed what was shaping to be a great finish to a game.

Once again we ****ed up with our interchange.
Tolman should not have been put back on.
They needed an extra big body out there so Chad should of been hooked for Wilton with 15 to go.

All of a sudden they go back 3/4/5 plays, it's complete bull****.

I'm so over this it isn't funny.

Hope all the Mums who don't watch the game, or let their kids play, are happy.

See i dont think its the mums mate. Junior football has nowhere near the head injuries that professional league does.

I think theres more at play here from a legal standpoint. The nrl needs to up its deterrents for those high tackles and contwct with the head. The nrl needs to be able to sit in court (which we know os gunna happen) and prove that it provided the safest sport it could withon reason.

I dont mind the crack down. In fact i like more punishment in game for those semi-serious ones like a sin binning. Most the time the player plays out the game then gets suspended. This actually gives some benefit to the team thst was fouled.

They have to get the calls right though. They cant be putting every hand on face on report

That 2nd last try by south’s shouldn’t be allowed . Plus the so called head high, wasn’t even a head high. Both these changed game massively

We really missed Taeliki and Hunt out there.
We need big bodies. At one point Williams was our only forward out there. Game changed when Fifita, Woods and Ruldoph came on.

No way. The comeback was on until that stupid penalty and its reaulting try. Then the back to back try. Our interchange played no part tonight. Our momentum was halted unfairly

That’s the thing the Bunker is reviewing it with a few sets of eyes and they still cook the results. What do you do have 11 people in the bunker with a majority rules system.

And yet boxing exists

But thats the difference. Boxing or any combat sport the whole purpose is to physically beat that person. There is no rule against punching that person in the head. They also have post fight protocols in regards to length of time before another fight as well as fighters would have to pass medicals to be able to fight anyway. The governing bodies have to enforce that to ensure they are liable.

Head contact has always been in league. The nrl needs to make sure it isnt in a position for a player to claim the game failed him in regards to head injury protection. Thsts what this is about.

I said this when Steve Folkes family donated his brain. The NRL need to play the concussion card carefully. Cos players are having careers cut short due to head knocks....you can guarantee someones gunna try and collect some damages
