2-3 m forward.
He threw it about half a metre as he crossed the 10m line (ie about 9-9.5m out), the winger caught it about 5m from the try line (forward out of the hands). But Benji! So “Brilliant”.

yet another inconsistency.

Like CT against melbourne to our winger, very similar spot. called forward.

NRL just allows things to slide for some teams and others..they don't give crap.
I'm certain I saw Sam Walker do it the other week, out of hand s backwards floated forward, caught a few metres from where it was released.

WT got pinned another game a few weeks back, out the hands backwards floats forwards, called forward.

can change the momentum for games and have a fair dig on the result.
I'm ok for those to be cleared but NRL has to do it for all teams.

Apologies for last night's posts. I was half cut and pissed off at the atrocious refereeing. Another game we could have won.

Hey Chad ,
You still think Fifita was a worse option than Magoulias
It's OK to admit you were wrong big fella ;)

I didn’t watch the game mate, I was out.

So I can’t tell you.

To be honest mate I couldn’t give two hoots who the better player is.

If Fifs had a good game then I’m happy for him.

Cool
Yes as predicted Andrew played a game that Magoulias could only dream of.
He won't be back again unless there are injuries

Thanks Thresh, thought that’d be the case.

Egg is just hell bent on pushing his agenda.

I wonder if he’s actually a journo?

He was alright, and he lifted the team, but he needs another 4 or 5 games to get up to speed.

Fifs has always benefited from match fitness.

Looking back at that late game try when the souths player was wrapped up on the ground and Reynolds takes the ball off him to score - that's pretty much always called held is it not even if the ball carrying arm hasn't touched the ground ?
The Dugan offside call
The Chad crusher penalty

Feels like an old fashioned stitch up and that the 2 sides were refereed to a different standard

Imagine if we were a Ricky Stuart coached side, he would have nuked the stadium

The teams positions on the ladder shouldn't matter, so often seems the favored team gets the rub. but there's the rub of the green and then there's seeing 3 random decisions you hardly ever seen given

I lost the plot when they went back two plays for this, what a farce.

And I still haven't calmed down about it, ****ing ridiculous.

it's not so much going back the plays, they were doing that all weekend but how on earth the spuds in the cheese cake bunker thought that was dangerous or deemed a penalty and put on report?
just cause the souths player grabbed his head??

can't wait to see what the judiciary make of it

players are falling over attackers when making tackles all the time, it was accidental and very light contact. total bs

Looking at our form, it isn’t probably as bad as we think. There’s a lot of shoulda’s and coulda’s in here but shows we weren’t too far off the pace in most of our games

we should have beaten Canberra, knights, dogs (butchered like 1million tries), roosters and the eels game was just an injury debacle. We had a really good first half against the storm and a good second half against the rabbits. Panthers was a ****fight from start to finish.

if the boys can stay positive and just get a win somehow this week against a dufty-less dragons all of a sudden, with our easy draw we could still make the 8

Egg - I think you will find that Trindall is the player who has taken Billy's spot. Fifita was in the spot left vacant by injuries to BHU/Talakai.

Based on my own observations and also Hannay's post-game comments I would be very confident about Trindall being picked ahead of Magoulias moving forward.

That's a big part of it for me, they shouldn't be allowed to go back past the last play imo.

They always could though - at all levels of footy. Touch judge comes on and makes a report if he sees something.

The issue now is not the going back. It is that they have ignored this rule for 20 years and people think that is normal, and that the NRL have decided to 1) re-introduce it on a showcase weekend, and 2) let the video ref be part of it - which isn't supposed to be a thing.

This season we were supposed to see less video ref. Seems like they are now creating reasons to use it more often.
