Yeah, basically. Get rid of all the time outs for incomplete passes and out of bounds and you would halve the game time! I'm sure they just have all that sh!t so they can fit in more TV commercials.

I wonder what the corresponding figure would be with Rugby League? I guess you'd have to not count the time between a player being held and him playing the ball, as well as any other obvious stoppages.
It's funny how people don't seem to notice the difference. Like NFL fans say it builds suspense or whatever. To me it's just such a different sport because of it.

I took the wife (girlfriend then) to see Miami vs. New England at Joe Robbie Stadium back in '96, as I'd always wanted to see Dan Marino before he retired. It was about 40 degrees in the shade (of which we had none) and about 85% humidity. She said she'd never seen anything so utterly boring in her entire life and still moans about it now. Miami won and Marino threw for about 250 yards, so I was happy.
Amazingly, she still agreed to marry me.
P.S. I will back the Saints for the bowl as the 'Big Easy' is a fabulous place and, for a blues and good food nut like myself, sheer bliss. :cheers

for people who dont want to sit and watch a full game of nfl but enjoy the strategic nature, physicality of the game and/or like watching hot woman running round in panties whaling on eachother then i highly recommend the Lingerie Football League (LFL) only seen on fuel TV:good::borat

I hope the Colts absolutely wipe the floor with the saints..... they don't even deserve to be in the Superbowl. They only won that game cos the referee was too blind and miscalled a touchdown..... Goto hell saints!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If that TD wasn't awarded favre would not of been passing but taking a knee, there for no way to "f*ck it"

yeah and i was talking about how Favre had a chance to right a wrong and fluffed it..if they didnt have that chance towards the end of normal time, then fair enough
