No they wont, not in the NRL. They’ve all seen how he got exposed in defence this year. Nobodies touching him. Our only chance is, like Punish said, a Super League team like Catalans comes calling but thats even if either Moylan would be motivated to pickup and move to a country like France or to England to a bottom feeding club like the Giants or Hull, or if any of those clubs haven’t watched him defend this year.

And its laughable for anyone to think he could improve his defence as drastically as he’d need to at this stage of his career to even make an NRL club consider taking a big risk on him.

Sorry but I think we’re stuck with him unless we’re paying pretty much all of salary to play reserves for another club and what would even be the point of that.

Hope im wrong but hoping for a brain dead club to swoop in and nab him for even most of his contracts value is pointless.
Where there’s West Tigers, there’s hope

Not even they would.

They signed Jayden Sullivan to play in the halves with Sezer.

Mate just accept it, we are stuck with him.
You never know, they might want an experienced halves combo😃

Plus they get rid of Blore who they dont want anymore

Epic straw clutching mate. Love your work. 😂
They still wanted him a few years ago when he was struggling with injuries. He's been healthy last 2 years, they'd be interested in him if the offer was there. Opportunity to have experienced halves pairing or even have depth with Sezers age and history. Sullivan is also still a rookie, and he's not the best defender or decision maker. Shop him around and see who bites for a trade, we could get a decent edge foward which we need for depth

Not that I think he will but hypothetically if Mozza decided to retire from NRL over the off season does his contract value stay on our cap for 2024 or it comes off it?

Happy for Moylan to go although arguably leaves our depth a bit shallow.

Depending where Dykes is at, and if intended to play 5/8 (which would make more sense letting Moylan go) probably okay.

7 depth Hynes / Trindall / Puru
6 depth Trindall / Dykes / Atkinson

Still someone like Clune*, C Johns, Wakeham could be a good shout for depth at the right price, and especially if Dykes was more likely to play fullback.
Hopefully no injuries to even consider playing these guys or really any of the depth but even competition has value.

*Clune has a good chance this weekend to drastically increase his value to an NRL or ESL club
Clune signed for Huddersfield for 2024

Something I have not seen discussed.

Why was the LHS defence so solid last year (Sharks 3rd best defence? ) & so shizen this year.

Was not the variable Wades experience was not on the left edge anymore & replaced by a young gun who is not as strong a defender in Tieg Wilton.

I wouldn't have thought Moyza would be any better or worse at defence in his twilight years - more like a perfect storm of average defenders.

In my opinion, from worst to least worse Rd 1 to 20 2023

A combined metric of ability to read what's going on and the techique/ ability to defuse as a working left hand side defensive unit.

Ronaldo. Great high ball diffuser, but remains is, in my opinion, the worst at reading what's going on and getting beaten on the outside.

Talakai - Oil Tanker being run at the Jet Skis- what can you expect?

Moylan-- Reads what's coming, but too slight / poor technique to stop a line runner at pace on the line.

Wilton - Good Technique, but not making solid desisions.

—-------

Tricky, improved LHS - good technique and reads: now to improve what he is in the side for.... attack. Should have carved up a depleted and out of positions Roosters RH defence.

Wade, improved defence from Warriors game on.

Yeah it was a bit surprising the downward spiral our LHD went this year as you said considering last year was pretty alright.

Reminds of Maloney when he became a turnstile haha

Regarding the attack on the left hand side v Roosters, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we have two opportunities to go left but Brailey went right?
