Disappointed in him but going to give him the benefit of the doubt and see how he goes in the next couple of games. Fitzy might do the same.
I will try to be patient with him in the knowledge he may well come good but im not giving him the benefit of the doubt as he was mostly poor against the Raiders and I don't think he has an excuse.
It shows what a myth and middling player he is that all the planets have to align for him to work properly for the team and we have to suck up all his bad games until the good comes. The bloke has stolen a massive salary since post 2018 and is lucky he is being paid more than $1 for 2022 by us
The blokes been in Rugby League a while now and has rep / finals experience. He should be a better and more consistent player by now but it's like every year is a rookie year and he is still finding his feet. Yes injuries and combination changes don't help but plenty of players have had to deal with that over a career.
Hynes and Trindall deserve the benefit of the doubt . If and when it clicks with Mozza and Hynes we may well be fire but how many games and part of our season is down the gurgler by then ?
I will try to back Moylan to bounce back and be more solid against Parra but I don't think it will be wise to stick it out with him too long if he doesn't perform.
It looked to me like a plan to hand the ball over right in the corner instead of risking a 7 tackle set .
Happened too often to be a coincidence ..
This can be a good ploy. IF you back it up with good defense that doesn't give away penalties.... tbf sometimes we did but some repeat sets would have been handy, especially in that first half when we didn't have much ball or opporutines down the raiders end. We needed every crack at their try line possible but we kinda just grinded it out until we were able to put on some plays later after Raiders tired and the momentum swung
I don’t need to show you nothing - go watch his last game
he got repeat sets in All Stars game as well IIRC
not that Hynes has been terrible @ 7 and he will get better but Im starting to go back to thinking of Hynes 6 Trindall 7 again. but with instructions for Hynes to do the play making and Trindall to keep it simple and not over playing his hand and trying to hand to come up with miracle plays to seemingly justify his position in the team every week.
Take some pressure off the kid, just let him kick long, pass from first receiver and make his tackles. If an opportunity presents itself run the ball ect but mostly just keep things tight and consistent. Surely he could handle that while Nicho shines and Moylan watches from the bench or the stands
