The dragons under Price were bit of a shambles but looked better that the Sharks under Flanno in 2015. Anyone but Flanno right now would be a likely improvement

Our losses would be about a million dollars to cut him. He aint going anywhere

Agreed, as nice as it would be to start fresh with a new coach the pay out would be too big.

What really bugs me is why the club extended his contract in the first place. I can only think it was ASADA related.

Extending him for three years was absurd. We're not talking a top line coach here, why three years??????????

It's just what happens when people make decisions while emotional. The board were voted in to save flanno and the others and they delivered exactly what the members wanted. So the membership as a whole cant complain. This is the doing of the fans. We need to sit back, sip on a beer and enjoy the fruits of our creation.

That right there is the point. People seem to be forgetting this. Everyone is quick to grab their torches and pitchforks to lynch Flanagan, but people have to realise the financial implications of dismissing him 4 games into a 3 year deal. Our finances aren't exactly in the green just yet.

What are the financial implications of continuing with him for 3 years and attracting 5,000 fans and turning away sponsors due to the team being boring as bat **** to watch.

Weigh it up.

Do we know for sure that there are no performance clauses in his contract I've never read officially other than all us shooting the breeze anything to deny or confirm their existence.. I have faith in Gorman the business man to make a business decision if and when he sees fit, he won't shirk in the line of fire.

And if you get the wrong new person you might still have **** footy and you are essentially paying two coaches. There's that risk as well.

Bang on.

We can afford to pay a combined 25 players 5.5 million each year but can't afford to sack a coach. Yeah right.

What we can't afford is to continue playing like we do.

The NRL pays the players, we pay the coach.

So get the right ****ing guy. Cause the current guy ain't it.

Easier said than done. Chris Anderson, Stuart raper, Ricky Stuart and Shane Flanagan were all considered to be the right guy once too. Just saying that there's massive risk involved with making the change now as well.
