Man **** horse racing, it is a dumb 'sport'. Come to the Sharks!
Horse racing is very much a sport, but yeah if Lyall wants a real job he should come here. There's no challenge like the sharks!

Read somewhere last night that a league is considering a team in the south. So if we do get him imagine we share our field with our own a league team? We would go from almost out of the comp to secure forever.he is a CEO that could start an a league team

NEW BALL GAME AT THE SHARKS?

IT’S no secret FFA boss David Gallop is looking to place a new A-League team in Sydney’s south, where soccer has record junior numbers. Interestingly, Western Sydney Wanderers’ foundation boss Lyall Gorman is about to be appointed CEO of the Cronulla Sharks.

Cronulla officials would love to see their ground used for 12 months of the year instead of sitting empty from October to March. A combined administration similar to the Knights and the Jets in Newcastle could be an option.

was in buzz ' s column

I would prefer if the majority of the funding for an A League team came from somewhere else.

I'd love one to play out of Shark Park though.

I think some of you guys are getting the wrong idea.

This is not a sharks funded team at all. They would use our stadium in summer. That's it. We would benefit financially with zero outlay.

It's not a sharks aleague team.

As a league fan I'm not super keen on giving a leg up to soccer. With the way the Wanderers have taken off in the West I wouldn't like to see similar success in the South. As it is AFL has made noticeable inroads in Sydney. These days I regularly see kids out kicking an AFL ball when I walk my dog which was unheard of back in my day.

I don't see what league can do to stop the growing momentum of either though. I would like to see league stay the number one sport on the Eastern Seaboard.
