Being our most important player in attack and possibly the safest player in the comp under a kick isn't enough for some people.
Don’t get me wrong I love Kennedy but he’s not elite..he has his weaknesses and can go missing in games

Fullback is an important spot one of the most important and if Dykes is an upgrade then why wouldn’t it be up for grabs ?

You’ve seen what Walsh has done for broncos this year

Agree on competition for spots. Happy to be patient with Kade though.

I’m still not up for joining the NRL’s Reece Walsh circle jerk. He’s fantastic when their pack is dominating, but he’s been dreadful in close grinding games. Lots of gaps in his game atm, and he’s getting VERY favourable treatment from the bunker.

People think he’s great because the commentators bang on about him constantly, even when the Boncos score 40m away from him and he doesn’t touch the ball in the whole set. They’ve got everyone conned.

SoO when he played a simple game he was a far better player imo. Week to week he has a bit of “chook with its head cut off” about him and makes a shitload of errors. Broncos are just good enough to defend their line.

You get the feeling Kennedy has another gear, but it'll remain to be seen if he slips the stick in or just grinds the gears.

If Kade can provide real competition for the spot the team can only be benefit.

Kade up in Nth QLD with the team again. Don’t get many injured rookies that travel interstate and sit in the coaches box most weeks all season long.
Shows how much Fitz believes in him and the experiences he is getting this year.
Can you bet on Rookie of the year? If so start saving your pennies for next year.

Yeah it’s just continued positive signs with this guy - think it’s stuff like frequently being in the coaches box which makes me dare to dream a bit more than I do with your average rookie

Looks like team are taking career to ensure the ACL is as minor a setback as possible in his development.

I can't remember seeing many more balanced runners than Kade prior to his injury.

Brought back memories of ET
Steve Kneen was balanced enough .
With the bonus of the ability to scare the CRAP out of opponents and take off their heads if required ;)

Looking forward to seeing how he goes next year. With Kennedy and Trindall having locked in the 1 and 6 barring injury for a while it’ll be interesting to see where he gets his chance. Maybe utility? With injuries could he potentially play wing? Centre? We know fullback and 5/8 he can but wondering he he could fill in other spots.

I reckon he could play centre, next season likely a bit part player anyway, maybe first man up for 1,3,4,6
After that we’ll see

We can afford to be patient with him and let him cook with the Jets a bit longer as he’s missed a whole year of development, thats if Trindall’s done enough and in my opinion he’s worth backing next season for the job.

Yeah he's gotta get some 80 minute games under his belt back from injury before anything else. Get him a position to work towards and hone his craft at the Jets for a while
