So the question may be - can Dykes play centre if Will, BT and Hynes are all in form?
This is assuming Dykes is showing he belongs in NRL.

From what I've seen I think that he could handle any position in the backline when we're in possession.

Defensively you'd think he'd need positional training and experience if it wasn't a position he'd been playing before his current injury.

could also notice live on the weekend that tracey was better at managing the defensive line then i have seen with kennedy
He was very active in doing it in training too, I don’t have comparison to Kennedy.

I could kind of imagine him doing a year (or injury cover) at centre (Burton style)

i was annoyed only found out about the training session after the game. the biggest difference to me was that tracey was alot more aggressive in how he delivered the message compared to will, the actual message prob isnt that much different

Yeah it was pretty hush hush and late notice unfortunately.
Have heard a few people lament not knowing about it. Shout out to @Jenni who shared the goss on here.

They said it took longer than they wanted it to to get approval from school to have public come in.

There was a moment in training defending tryline, Wade was solo marker and pointed right. Tracey filled into right A and told Wade to go left and Wade did and they both filled the gaps either side of ruck. If Tracey doesn’t say anything (or Wade doesn’t listen) he goes the wrong way and leaves a gap beside ruck… which was where opposing side ran at and Wade ‘made the tackle’ (wasn’t full contact)
Tracey also put himself onto long side too. He could have easily stayed on left A and let Wade cover right - wouldn’t have had to do anything extra then, but is out of position to chase a spread/open side kick

I like how much easier it is to see stuff like this standing right there beside it.

So they didn't evict you - you didn't look too creepy just standing around by yourself and watching? :)

I floated that question a few months ago in the podcast thread.
He certainly has the size to play there

Kennedy is sporadic in good form and lacks in defence.

I can see some Edwards in Dykes.

I don’t think Fitz is going to move Kennedy when it took nearly a season to move Moylan.

Kennedy’s been one of our best players this year. Fitz definitely shouldnt move him. Dykes will have to force his way into the team elsewhere other then fullback.
Being our most important player in attack and possibly the safest player in the comp under a kick isn't enough for some people.

I think with Wills form, the only long term position for Dykes is 6. But how that plays out with trindall and Hynes remains to be seen.
