Maybe Dykes has always been preferred over Miller? Didn't get a debut earlier in the year cos he was going to leave?

Dykes has been playing 1 for the Jets with Miller 6 of late (when they have both been picked).

I like what we're doing around debutants. Maybe it Fitz, but we seem to be fostering an enviornment that's more than just a stats sheet. Given it's old boys day and his dad's watching on, this kid must be feeling on top of the world... and ready to re-sign?

Me too. I remember that season when kimmorley was injured most of the year and dykes played 7 for us. Had the year of his life. **** he played some amazing footy that year. Think it was 05? Or 06?

I think it might of been 05. I could be wrong though.

I know he had a great year in 97.

Lg was our sponsor I remember the jersey he was wearing. And our stadium was Toyota stadium. So yeah maybe 05? Oh actually think Brett Kearney was playing for us so that would be 06 I reckon?

I think maybe you are talking about the 5 week period in 2006 when he played halfback. We won 4 of 5, including a win against the previously undefeated Cowboys. When Kimmorley came back we went to **** and lost most of our games after that point.

Said it in the Miller thread yesterday, and i'm sure its not the sole reason, but I bet wanting Kade to re-sign played a part in this debut. Absolutely stoked for him though and hope he tears it up. 5 weeks to announce himself on the big stage.
